Other reviewers have said basically all that needs to be said, so I'll just pitch in with my own feelings about this game. Well then: I found it very, very relaxing to play, quite unlike some other (good) point-and-click adventure games where repetition can become a chore. I'd say it was rather like watching a movie. The characters are charming, the dialogue is entertaining, and I personally enjoyed the voice acting. (I bought this game after the voice acting had been implemented.)

A short and sweet game. I finished it in one sitting. It has enough variety in its enemies to keep your interest going, and the powerup progress and map layout have been designed such that you don't have to grind much or wander around needlessly. The controls are minimal, and pleasantly so. The combat, "healing" segments feature simple action that gradually turns into bullet hell action later on. The story's very light, held together by cute one-liners. As for the music, and the graphics: well, the nostalgia is strong with this one.

Playing this was some of the most fun I've had recently with games. Someone earlier wrote in a review that, had this been released in the heyday of the NES, it would have been a classic. One may argue the point, but I'm sure of one thing... there would have been a long line of sequels, spanning later consoles like the SNES and maybe the N64. Perhaps even an animated TV show.

I love the irreverent humor in this game. Where else can you marry whomever you want? If it had indeed been released in the 80s, the social mayhem would have been a sight to behold! (And this would not have been in the TV show.)
