The game is in an unplayable state, and to think they felt comfortable charging us 70 dollars for it.

Unfortunately, my MODERN PC runs this 10 year old 3 gens ago Playstation game at 100% CPU 100% GPU and 100% RAM with temps above 90 degrees just for LOW SETTINGS at choppy 40-60 frames.

I was really bummed when the game dropped and I was getting frame dropped and stuttering. Happy to say that they patched it DAY ONE and it fixed virtually ALL of my issues. I'm on a 1080 ti with a current gen Intel i7 and am now able to stay locked in at 60 FPS on medium/high settings in native 2k. Now that most of the technical issues have been quickly ironed out for me, I am able to enjoy this visceral, engaging single player experience. The combat is weighty and panicky, which is super fitting for a horror game. The world design is simply superb. I just find myself wanting to explore every nook and cranny of this sci-fi prison hellscape. The plot and characters are interesting enough to keep me engaged and the graphics are really top notch. I've long been a fan of the Dead Space franchise, and this truly is a worthy spiritual successor.

This will be game of the year, and potentially game of the decade. Easy recommend to anyone who wants a genuine experience, instead of just a mindless "Go here, collect that, kill those" type of game that we've been fed for the past 15 years.

I'm going to keep this brief and honest.

I genuinely love this game and have put over a thousand hours into across a couple accounts. I play at high MMR on both killer and survivor and play both solo and with friends. HOWEVER, I cannot recommend this game in it's current state for 2 main reasons:

1. The MMR system they have recently implemented basically created a much less enjoyable game experience for ALMOST all players, causing a shortage of people willing to play killer.

2. Behavior, the developer, has done very little to respond to the rampant cheater epidemic that is ruining the experience for everyone. It took them over a year to even acknowledge that cheating was affecting the game. I get blatant cheaters in too many of my matches and extremely suspicious players that are likely using subtle hacks that are difficult to notice unless you are looking out for them or re-watching the clips of your matches.

If Behavior removes the MMR system or drastically reworks it, and also permanently bans the IP addresses of any players using cheats, then the game will be the amazing experience it once was.

Fun and cute game, and a unique concept. Fun to hop into with friends every once in a while.

*WARNING* This game doesn't run well on MANY machines. I more than surpass the recommended specs for this game and it literally wont stay about 30 frames for me and crashes constantly. In addition, Steam will not give me a refund because I've spent over 2 hours trying to tweak the settings and running the benchmark test. 50 DOLLARS ABSOLUTELY DOWN THE DRAIN. ASKING 50 DOLLARS FOR A 3 YEAR OLD GAME THAT IS IN THIS ABYSMAL OF A STATE IS HONESTLY A SCAM!
