absolutely worth the money, even tho the game is still in early access. its a lot like a mix of borderlands and doom, with a bit of originality thrown in and damn am i excited to see where this game is going to go

If you haven't bought this game yet and are thinking of getting it, just buy it. It is so worth the cost. Just be aware of the learning curve, which can be difficult to handle for some players. There are plenty of tutorials out there for KSP so it really shouldn't be much of a problem. I've played for almost 900 hours at the time of review and it is probably my favorite game of all time. I've visited every planet and moon, but still there are new challenges that I place on myself. I love this game.

Update: 11/29/19 - I'm still playing this game. Its way more than worth the money.

But seriously though, this game is amazing. It inspired me to write my first game review ever. I personally have never played any game similar to this, being a fan on things like Kerbal Space Program, Cities Skylines, and the occasional CSGO round. But I saw several reviews and said, "Hey, why not give this a shot? It's well rated and isn't that expensive...."

And so I bought it. As I began to play it, I realized probably my favorite thing about this game. You can do anything you want. Anything at all. Are you prepared to face the depths of the mines? No? Well you can do it anyways. You get to choose your own adventure, and make the game your own. There are quests, but you can choose to turn down any quest given to you, whereas in any other game I've played, with the possible exception of KSP sandbox, you are forced into the quest that the devs force you to do. I love this aspect, and because of this alone, I would reccommend this game.

The other main draw for me is the depth and variety of things that you can do. You can attempt to upgrade the community center, or trade it in to help "JOJA Corp." You can decide "I want to make my farm as big as possible," or "I just want to fish all day," or "Today, I'm going to mine all day." You never feel forced into anything and get to again, choose from a massive amount of things to do. And when you feel that you are running out of things to do, you can continue to unlock new areas, new secrets, and befriend new people. At the time of this writing, I have put in 54 hours of time and am only in fall of the second year. I feel as though I still haven't even come close to finding all of the secrets to this game.

For those that don't care about what I just layed out above, let me make it simple with a pro-cons list.
Pros:
>You can choose your own adventure right from the start.
>There is a massive variety in gameplay
>Excellent replayability
>Many villagers to talk to and get to know, each with their own unique story
> You can befriend and even marry the villagers, both of which can help you in your "journey"
>The Dev said that co-op will be added into the game
>Well written characters who you will get attached to and want to get to know better.
>Places like the community center or the museum extend the amount of time you can spend with the game
>The art style is beautiful
>The music is amazing
>The game will make you happy, calm, and relaxed
>It is only $15 (when not on sale)
Cons:
>Some of the characters are not as well written as others
>There are some small bugs, many of which have probably been fixed by the time of your reading this

Overall, I love this game. I would reccomend this to anyone whether they have played games like this, or not. I really hope that you will buy this game and have one of the best gaming experiences you can get.
