I've seen significantly better looking games with nowhere near the amount of required processing power. Unplayable with a 20 series card

The graphics are good, the sounds are good, the menu soundtrack isn't bad, and F1 life seems like a pretty cool idea. That's it, that's all the positive I have to say.

In every other aspect, I'd say this game is objectively worse than F1 2021. I had maybe 1 or 2 game crashes in the time that I played it, so obviously a lot of bugs to fix.
However, my least favorite thing about this game by-far are how the new cars performed. I plugged in a wheel, hopped into My Team, started with a midfield car, and I was stunned with how undriveable these new cars feel. Even with traction control set to medium, I couldn't finish a lap of Bahrain without spinning, a task that would've been so simple in a 2021 car. These new cars just feel like powerful road cars, the way they understeer into a corner and terminally understeer coming out of one.
I'll easily recommend an earlier F1 title such as 2021, but I feel like this is a step backwards in the series.

This is a great game. It's very in-depth, the modding community is great, and it's very rewarding to build something that actually drives nicely. There is a learning curve, almost like learning how to use Photoshop, but it didn't take me that long to start building cars correctly. Previous automotive experience will help here.

I'm pretty terrible at this game, but it's a great story-based game. The terror of the situation is on point. I can't make any comparisons to other half-life games, since this is the only one I've played, but wow. This is great.

Even as a simcade style of game, it's quite appalling. I got it during a sale for 70% off, and I still feel like I paid too much for this game. It's such a departure from the previous installment, and I don't see how this game passed so many people on it's way to publishing without someone questioning whether it made since. Even as a NFS Shift sequel, this still wouldn't have gone down well.

Pros:
-Car list. One of the main reasons I bought this game was because of cars such as the C8 Corvette, MK5 Toyota Supra, Nissan Z Proto, among others. I've never seen these cars in other racing games before, and it's neat to try them out here.

Cons:
-Graphics. This game looks worse than Project CARS 2. All of the weak spots with PCars2's graphics seem to be apparent here as well, but somehow even worse. The water kicked up by cars looks almost cartoonish, and the metallic paint looks like a disaster in many lighting conditions. Cars in motion look really blurry for some reason, too.
-Handling style. If you've ever played the first NFS Shift game, you'll notice the weird delay between inputs and the car's reaction. The same principle is present here, only worse. It's hard to be precise with your handling when the game flat-out ignores smaller inputs. I haven't tried this game with a wheel, but I've heard the experience with it is awful.
-The name. This is the most nitpicky of my complaints, but the game reminds you constantly on every screen how this game IS a Project CARS game. The logo is plastered on the pause screen. Cutscenes are transitioned with the "3" symbol. It tries so hard to be something it isn't, and that's hard to ignore. If an identity crisis was a game, this would be it.
-DLCs. I bought the Deluxe Edition of the game, but the game still shows you what cars are DLCs and which ones aren't. There's so many things locked behind that paywall, and I can't see how someone can buy the base game and not feel pressured to upgrade. That EA ownership is really showing, huh?
-The corner mastery system. This is by far the worst take on assisted racing lines in any game I've seen. Instead of your normal assisted racing line appearing as a bunch of arrows on the track, there's three large points for braking, apex, and corner exit. There's no way to turn it off, and it was actually slowing me down in some spots.
-Lack of polish. Even with my limited gameplay, the game has crashed three times. Not what I expected coming from the previous Project CARS games.

I understand that buying this game was a bit of a gamble, considering all of the existing negative reviews. I set my expectations quite low, and this game still failed to meet them. If all you want is a bit of a laugh, go ahead and add it next to your collection of Cyberpunk 2077 and NFS 2015. However, if you're looking for a decent simcade racing game, look elsewhere.
