Night in the Woods (NITW) is a very unique game. As you're no doubt aware, the praise for this game has been overwhelmingly positive. The funny thing is that with a lot of games, that seems to throw people off. Maybe they think the game gets more praise than it deserves, or that the fanbase is toxic, or some other reason. Let me state now that I strongly believe all the love NITW has received is completely justified. Sure, this game won't be for everyone, no game ever is. But the love and care that went into NITW is clearly visible when playing the game. Actually, I don't think "playing" is really the right word. I think it's more so that you experience it.

There are probably heaps of reviews that go into detail about the plot and stuff, so I won't bore you by repeating it all. Let me just say that the concept of NITW had me instantly hooked, and I essentially couldn't stop playing until I beat it. And then I played it again. And then again. I was kind of addicted haha! The world, story, and soundtrack are excellent, but it is the characters that make this game truly extraordinary. They are so damn likable and so damn relatable that I even nominated NITW for a Steam Award. The category was: The "Most Relatable Characters" Award. Hell, I even went and got all the achievements due to how much I love this game. To summarise, if you haven't, please give NITW a go. I strongly believe that like me, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
