One Step From Eden turn form a game I thought would be okay to a blast. This game amazed me not only with the game play but the music oh my. each zone has a different type of song and it pushes that fast game play forward keeping you on your toes with the sound alone. One Step From Eden starts off slow and you learn that each ability/card you use cost mana so you strategize which card would be best for your opponent. As you continue to move past each level on a stage you get experience and each level gives you a free card/ability to use. There is also bonus rewards like items that add passives and increasing you mana cost. The games slowly builds you up this way till you fight a boss. To be honest the boss threw me off I thought how could I beat it but, the games does this so you learn your opponent. The more I learned the better I got and when I finally beat that boss for a first time I felt a rush of success. This game no matter how many times I have fallen or lost I never once felt defeated. The music kept pulling me back whispering to my soul to keep on fighting. Every time I pick up this game its always something new. Whether you want a challenge or playing for fun this game never fails at a good time.
