Character movement is clunky AF, shots don't hit where you aim, enemies seem to come in from a magic alternate dimension, the skill menu is bizarre, and even though the mission maps look nice, you cannot move off the designated pathways very much. Even Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a better game than this, and that game is like having AIDS and Herpes at the same time. The bullet cam can only keep you playing this for so long, until the outright clumsiness makes you uninstall it and curse the developers of this POS.

I know this game is just a test bed for Arma4. But still, this is a bug fest. After 7 hours, I still have no idea how to even attach a suppressor or optic to a gun. The mods looked hopeful, but 1/2 of them won't even let you launch a game when enabled. One of those mods is a framework that several other mods are based upon, so it just ♥♥♥♥♥ everything. I have repeatedly tried to fly a helicopter with a controller. The control scheme is completely unlike anything for a vehicle in any video game ever. Whoever decided this is how helos fly should have their ♥♥♥♥ sawn off with a plastic butter knife and never be allowed to procreate. The enemy AI is on point, they will murder you from 1000m easily. However, if you grab a sniper rifle and try to engage back at those ranges, good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck. Scope sway is so bad, your rounds will be lucky to land within 50m of a contact. Before I get hate over this, yes, I know sprinting or walking will skew your aim for a bit. I did have a bipod, but anywhere you lay down to deploy it, the grass or weeds are so high, you can't see ♥♥♥♥. Shot repeatability is awful and wildly inaccurate. Gamemaster was pretty easy to play with, but you do have to read the field manual. There are certain things to drop into the match to let you spawn in. Even so, setting up a game to test things out is like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aids. Some things in life are straight forward and make sense. This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game is the alternate reality, where nothing makes sense, everything is vastly more difficult than it should be, and you are left banging on your keyboard in a blind rage over how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up this game is. I would highly suggest someone eat a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 6-pack of lightbulbs before buying this game. Or take a long walk off a 50 story building. Which is what the developers should have done before subjecting anyone to this ♥♥♥♥. I was looking forward to Arma 4, but now, I know that game will be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. Our last hope for an open-world tactical shooter is gone. ♥♥♥♥ you, Arma developers. ♥♥♥♥ you.

This is just the PVP beta, so maybe co-op will be better? Same 'ol bullet sponge crap as I remember from the older COD games. Weapons look great and don't feel too horrible, but optics are retarded and float around like I have epilepsy. Damn near impossible to get a headshot, even with a sniper rifle. Character movement is not bad at all. This game overall reminds me of battlefield 4, but with battlefield 3 graphics. Very limited ammo, just carrying 3 mags, which is what it takes to kill 3 people point blank, or 1 person past 50m. I realize there would be perks to increase mag count, but this game is not really playable for a sound-minded adult long enough to unlock those perks. Even if the co-op is better, I imagine the inability to shoot someone past 30m is a deal-breaker, even as a sniper. The same garbage sniper I get 3 or more hit markers with at 100m, others seem to be able to 1-tap me with, so your mileage may vary. Even though is does feel nice to play a modern, smooth game, this is just a hard pass. Even if this was free, I would uninstall it. I feel like an idiot for getting a new Activision account when I should have known better.

The steam controller configs for this game just suck. The game was awesome when it did work, but the controller config just ♥♥♥♥ the bed on me out of nowhere. I tried a few other controller configs, and they did work, but sucked ass. Who the ♥♥♥♥ is contributing to the steam community with these configs? A bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that's who. ♥♥♥♥ the Arma developers for not having partial controller support, and ♥♥♥♥ Steam and the ♥♥♥♥ eating community.

Bought this for playing with friends on pc. Only problem is, you can't. Multiplayer doesn't work on pc. Highest screen resolution is 1920x1200, so just barely over 1080p. It was also frame locked at 60fps. C'mon Sony, you could have at least done these few things for a console port. I will say, on a 4k display, the game still looked pretty good graphically, and gameplay felt smooth enough.

This game was fun with friends in co-op. The latest update after the console release turned all AI into aimbot assassins. I understand the AI is trained on PVP player actions, which on paper is great. But they must cheat a lot in PVP, because now the AI can see through walls and 1-tap you from impossible positions. I tried playing again today to see if they fixed anything. They did not. And now that they have made their money from releasing on console, they are probably done. I uninstalled it. I hope they rot in hell.
Update: 11/21/22 So, after the guys on our Discord made a entertaining ISMC server with Thermal goggles for the smoke and the awesome Medic mod, the Livewire dlc update bricked everything. Don't the developers understand this game would be dead long ago if not for the modders? Now I have to uninstall this ♥♥♥♥ again. ♥♥♥♥ you, developers.

After putting a substantial amount of time into this game, it seems Ubisoft has decided to run us all off. As of the 12th or 13th of this month, all player stats got reset to ZERO. I have tried 4 different ways of pasting over an old game save, but each time, Ubi's servers change it back. And I even turned Ubi Connect cloud saves off to force the game to use my local saves only. Ubi may try to say this is because a server went down, but if that was all it was, a simple local save would have reset the stats. No, they have something else going on. Not that it matters, Wildlands is probably the last entertaining game they will have ever made. They will be losing their player base anyways, since they seem to have their heads in the sand when it comes to what players really want in a game. Cases in point- Breakpoint's skinny jeans, flower picking, and yoga in the bivvy, as well as the Frontline fiasco, which was an uninspired Ghost Recon PubG knockoff. Here's a free tip for you window lickers at Ubisoft, don't create a game that is 18+ in content, but only appeals to kids under 12 or the developmentally disabled. So, my extensive homicidal recreational activities in the fine country of Bolivia, where I knifed over 14,000 Sicarios and Unidad, where I revived almost 29,000 teammates in combat, where I laid mines and C4 to trap bad guys in the thousands, where I abused my parachute 12,000 times, where I did over 6,000 missions completely undetected, fired over 5 1/2 million rounds of ammunition, and whacked about 450,000 bad guys, when I did the daily challenges for 3 1/2 years to unlock everything in the game and bought hundreds of tier boosters with the blue points I earned, then used those boosters to help hundreds of other players hit tier 1 faster- all of that is gone. I know Ubi wants to bury this game. It makes their newer games look like junk, even with the issues it has. Some of the persistent issues, I suspect, they left in on purpose. Still, it boggles the mind that this game, with all the dlc and not on sale, would cost someone $150, and then they wouldn't even be able to play it with online features. That should be fraud, and if they are selling this game right up to the day they kill the co-op servers, they should be charged with fraud and felonies, then sent to be El Chapo's girlfriend in prison. Sorry, in my anger, I digress. Wildlands shines in co-op, is very enjoyable solo, has a reasonable open world that is absolutely cinematic, and no other game matches it. I would recommend it, but it looks like it is getting retired by Ubitards. And just in case some Ubi support creature sees this, yes, I have a support ticket open, and no, you did not resolve my issue, and just stop pretending that reinstalling windows or verifying game files can even possibly fix what you do to us with every update or tweak.
