Payday 3 offers a really solid FPS gameplay experience, which I consider quite innovative in terms of how it handles bullet sponge enemies with its armor system. It feels reminiscent of the hotel fight scene in John Wick 3 with the way penetration works. Improved stealth levels and a fresh start without overpowered abilities and skills are changes I wholeheartedly support (though some might disagree if they prefer a power fantasy). Now, there are numerous negatives, but I'll focus on the ones I believe need fixing or improvement the most.

1. UI - Let's face it, it's pretty bad, maybe even worse than Battlefield 2042's UI at launch. Why can't we name different loadouts? Why do we have to press 'R' (on PC) to confirm a loadout in the lobby? Why is the loadout the only way to access your arsenal? Could we have another tab called 'armory' or something that shows all your weapons? The last point might just be my personal preference, but not being able to switch guns positions in your armory triggers my PTSD.

2.Progression - Unlike many others, I don't mind the infamy leveling system or the gun progression. However, it's currently terribly balanced and scaled. For example, grindy challenges like killing 10, 50, or 100 enemies with weapons should not be the focus of infamy challenges (as they currently offer only a decent amount of 100~160 IP), while completing genuinely challenging tasks, such as stealing the centerpiece from the gallery, only gives you 50 IP? so spending like 2 hours trying to steal everything + secret paintings(I'm counting the figuring out time) gives you 50IP close to 0 progression <Which I think should worth over 500+IP if you completed something like this on overkill first time> compare to spamming Dirty Ice 40 times(3mins each). Do you want people to play the game or just grind it? These are very different experiences (not to mention the 40 times Dirty-Ice challenges that earns you more than any overkill unique challenges). As for gun mods, to a certain extent, most guns are unusable on harder difficulty until you acquires a few mods, while the time to reach max level feels decent ONLY IF some mod options are unlocked by default. Additionally, why not consider adding the Payday 2 mod drop system alongside the current one?

3. Transparency - I understand that fixing major issues can take time, but with the servers consistently going down in random succession, there's a need for an official, real-time server status API, site, or tweet, rather than vague messages like "Matchmaking services are recovering, and players are returning to the game! If you don't immediately get a successful lobby, give it a few minutes and then try again." This just leaves players uncertain about whether the server is actually working or not since your recovering time basically last until the next server crash. Clear communication like stating when the server is down and when it's working would be more helpful (if even possible).

These issues could go on indefinitely, like why online only, why a timed lobby... But addressing the above concerns would already bring a smile to my face. As for the current state of the game, I cannot recommend it to anyone. If someone tells me these are oversights on Starbreeze's part, it simply couldn't be the case. Whatever deals they've made is costing them, the players, and the Payday title. Now, excuse me for my English.
