CS:GO Review
Here is my honest review of the game please keep in mind that this is game is in pre alpha and as a result has great potential to list a few examples of good pre alpha games, five nights at freddies and bad rats. Now to continue with the review Counterstrike Global Offensive is the 9th installment in the action packed series that sees you going from flying helicopters to controlling robotic dogs when first released there was some arguement on wether or not Cs Go would stand up to its previous installment Black ops 2. And it has, Cs Go has proven that it is a worthy game and might even be better than the upcoming rome total war 3 (keep in mind this is a big might and i doubt Cs Go will match the fast paced run and gun mechanics of Rome Total War 2) Lets get started with the campaign, there isnt one. The co-op sections of the game will have you teaming up with all types of creative characters such as old man willy the alcaholic janitor or sassy sally the ♥♥♥♥ of the west. Co-op aside I feel as if the exo suits add more realism to the game while also allowing branching character plots and inter-species relationships. The multiplayer is a mix of skyrim and far cry 3 but with guns, big guns time to talk about one of my favourite parts of the series the guns with the addition of new weapons such as the ray gun and the bazooka i feel these are balanced by the fact that whichever side wins the coin toss starts with a tank. The maps, ah yes the maps while weapons and skins and mounted aerial tanks are all good and well the map that you walk/fly/drive/crawl on makes up the bulk of the game we see a few fan favourites from the old series return such as Nuketown and kino der totten while im happy to see them doing away with unwanted maps like de_dust 2 and de_swag 3. Cultural impacts of the game, First off there is a tonne of pop culture references for you to sink your teeth into take for example one seen in which as a counter terrorist is about to defuse the bomb he says "If this bomb explodes I might just die" or another one for example a line said by a terrorist in response to his teammate asking "where do we go" the terrorist responds "Somewhere on the map... I hope" It is lines like these that really make this game stand out from the mainstream questing games you see these days. Now I feel as if this game is a bit controversial by including the fedora as a dlc and not already in game and it is this reason that i think makes this game heavily pay2win lets look at the statistics for example with no fedora equipped your characters euphoria level is +2 their swag level is +1 and their gentlemanship is +4 now take the stats of someone with the fedora equipped +9 euphoria +420 swag and +11 gentlemanship allowing them to instantly charm any enemy female characters, My one complaint about the fedora though is that the m'lady sound clip that plays with it equipped goes for 3.5 seconds while the sound clip of previous games would go for 4 seconds while some people may not care I feel that nods to previous installments are what makes better gameplay and accuracy. Now i do feel as if the art style could have been more anime/japanese flavoured but they have instead gone for the picasso style of art which to be honest is not very kawaii, all in all the overall feel of the game is not suited very well for bronies or anime conoseuirs I believe that the aboriginal players will get quite a kick out of this that is why I am reccomending this game and giving it 9.5/10 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
