I love dinosaurs, but this game is a huge disappointment, and this is why:
1. You can't play solo - what's right, you can only play on multiplayer servers, there are no dinosaurs NPCs in the game as opponents or food.
2. Poor tutorial - when you start the game, 3 slides on how to play appear in the corner, I must ask other players about most things/search on the internet.
3. Food??? - I had trouble finding food as a herbivore, there are plants everywhere, but you can only eat the selected ones and that would be fine, if it weren't for the fact that you can run around the map for 30 minutes and simply starve to death because you can't even eat grass (I know this game is a survival game, but c'mon, in real world herbivores can eat more types of plants + how can I survive If this is too hard for newbie? How can I learn to play this game?).
4. Not many dinosaurs to choose from - this game isn't cheap, I can't even play my favorite dinosaur (stegosaur is a famous dinosaur), Roblox dinosaur simulator have more to offer and It's free.
5. Official game servers - not everyone can play them due to problems with DirectX, also It's only beta servers with better mechanics that I think should be in original game (like eating grass, I know this only beacuse someone tell me about it).
6. Exhausting - I really tried to enjoy this game, but I couldn't because instead of exploring the world or building a nest, I was constantly looking for food that was nowhere to be found.
Idk maybe maybe I had too high expectations for this game. If you don't like ARK, don't try this game, I must say It's giving the same vibe with character making and poor tutorial experience. I'd like to give this game more chances, but I'm tired of wasting money on games that don't make me happy (gonna refund it, I'm sorry).
