how this got so swept under the rug i don't understand considering it's by the same creator as cat in the box (and stygian). this game has got some of the best horror in an rpgmaker game i've ever seen with it relying on the sound and colors to create an unnerving atmosphere rather than jumpscares or sudden loud noises. the pixel art is also fantastic and rollcake's art making a return for cgs is a pleasure. basically, if you're a fan of horror games and/or the rpgmaker horror genre play this game. it's short, beautiful, and is terrifying at times.

I don't really know where to begin with this but, this game is very good, especially for the dev's first game (judging from their steam). There is passion just oozing out of everything in this game from the artwork, the amount of dialogue, the bits where the gameplay was shook up a bit (the flashlight and sound parts), and the music all being originally composed. Highly recommend, especially for if you love the RPG Maker Horror genre because this game is a perfect love letter to it. My only problem was the story's pacing at times was a bit odd and the puzzles were kind of weak but other than that this game is fantastic!! Definitely excited to see where the dev goes next :]]

very short, even for rpg maker game standards. still very good and interesting excited to see more of this world and who hector works for (plus whatever was up with alagossa at the end). the complete absence of music scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me too lol

ok first THE ART IS SO GOOD ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i've never bought an art book faster in my life before. Which is funny because the rest of the game kinda went from mid to good at times. Some of the puzzles were a bit tedious (♥♥♥♥ the golem path one in particular) as well as the rat light mechanic but the rest were pretty alright and enjoyable! The plot was a bit confusing during game play and was just kinda. Thrown? at the player it wasn't explained very well (the extras at the end definitely helped a lot in understanding it which is kinda :\\). But once you kinda get it the story becomes very interesting with the art, again, increasing it a lot.

Overall pretty good game! The art definitely is the game's strongest point (and the fact that its free holy cow) with the story, although convoluted as hell, being pretty interesting! Definitely pick up if you're a big fan of RPGMaker horror games.
