Don't toss this game in a lake with cement shoes simply because of the racing portion... Granted, you will want to. Outside of that mission it's a great story which is hard to come by in many games.

Don't be afraid to lose the race a few times in order to learn where the scripted crash scenes are, and use those to gain the lead. There's one each lap depending on where you are in the lineup, don't be near them though or you may find yourself joining the wrecks. Otherwise, if you gain the lead early... don't crash. The race car handles like drunk horse on the turns, so you'll need to learn how to hit them without hitting the wall. Don't be afraid to slow down where it's needed. The first turn is tight, then there's one that's near the cliff, hiding a small hill just tall enough to launch you into a wall or flip you.

I played this game way back in my childhood and have always enjoyed going back to it. I just wish it was capable of accepting mods, but at the end of the day, nostalgia keeps me going. This will forever be one of the best games made from my perspective. Wonderful music, a simple (but enjoyable storyline) and AI that (for it's time) can still be a challenge.

Side Note: I wish they just made Stronghold 3 an add on to Stronghold 2, considering they never fully finished it... It would also be interesting if they added the content from Stronghold (and maybe Stronghold Legends just for some flair), simply because I would love to play through all of the missions and content without having to switch games. I'd fund it if I could... I'm sure other fans would enjoy it as well, but alas, it's an old game that will never see that happen.

I've put countless hours into this game and still find myself putting in more.
