As I am writing this review, I have fought all tower bosses and have experienced most of the game minus a few minor pals. Palworld is an incredibly fun survival game mixed with an addicting creature collector gameplay. Out of my time spent in the game, I would say the early-mid game is the most fun. Most pals that you use can be used and the boss fights are fair.

There are some issues however. One is how buggy the game can be at times, mostly regarding multiplayer. Rubber-banding can be painful at times and during combat, you are probably never going to successfully dodge attacks, especially the homing ones. I would say the late game is a major issue. Where the early and mid game is very experimental where it feels like any pals can be helpful, the late game narrows your choices to an extreme level. Many pals will be falling off in usefulness, and the available selection becomes very small. The late game also becomes incredibly grindy. I have not yet reached level 50, and the server is on a slight exp multiplier. Both alpha pals and especially tower bosses (the last two) start becoming unfair in some of their attacks, with most being homing, or one shots.

Despite this, I am glad to have played this game and recommend it, at least for the first 30 or so hours. Finding and catching new, or very strong pals was such an exhilarating experience. I will definitely be replaying this game from time to time, but probably up until level 35 or so. I can't wait to see what future content Pocketpair has in store for this game in the future!

I am literally just making this review for the funny number. Please laugh. I have been struggling with my sleep paralysis because of this game. I've been waking up to seeing a rakghoul at the end of my bed. It takes what feels like an hour just to get myself awake.
