If you dig turn based strategy and role playing this game is a must play. Most akin to Divinity Original Sin 2 and XCOM in terms of combat. Highly recommend for all.

A very skimmed down version of what XCOM really is. If your a die-hard fan of this series you will find little enjoyment in the simplification of many strategy mechanics. There are a few cool additions like turn order and allied aliens, which i personally always wanted. I also like the cartoon-esque aesthetic they chose for this game as it goes really well with the lighthearted, in comparison to the others, theme of 5 years post war state of the world and the difference in magnitude of threat that your dealing with.

I really think they missed the ball on the lack of customization of characters, which for me has always been a major selling point. Shooting animations are janky, where one of the characters will, post breach, fire to the left and the bullet will hit an enemy on the right (the one you were aiming at) - although this is likely to get patched soon enough.

That said, for 9.99 (on sale) and even 19.99, this game is worth it. It will resurface many good memories of the other games if you have played them and perhaps make you consider reinstalling them. If your new to xcom this is definitely a great strategy game that will make you excited for upcoming installments and perhaps inspire you to pick up the classics.

Fun repetetive space shooter with heavily upgradable ships. Very fun combat and beautiful to look at. Each run has something new to experience and keeps the game fresh. I don't know how far into the game I am but it would seem there is still a lot to go. Worth the price tag if your into roguelikes and space.

Incredible masterpiece. My favorite RPG of all time, along with the Witcher III. Thanks Larian Studios - hoping for a third one!
