Oh my, this game. Never has a game come so close to a realistic standard and exceed it in such a practical and VERY fun manner. After entering the game for the first time, you are immediately confronted with the sights and sounds of what would be the First World War. Classic and unique weapons are at your command (Both good and bad) and it is up to you to decide which is the best weapon for your play style, whether it be a lone sniper hidden behind the trenches, a heavy machine gunner demolishing an entire enemy wave in mere seconds, a trench runner armed with a fast-firing carbine and a melee weapon along with a couple of grenades to keep you and your teammates' flanks clear. The damage mechanics, while brutal and unforgiving at first glance, grants you the power to take even the most useless weapon (I am looking at you Reichsrevolver) and make it into a massively powerful and effective means of armament. Even though the rank progression is a bit bland, I must admit, the game makes up for it's flaws with being just so dang fun you won't care whether your gun seems to fire frozen potatoes wildly at the enemy trenches... or even if you have a Reichsrevolver.
