Whenever I hop into a pub, I can think about one thing and one thing only. The engineer. I imagine the enemy engineer having a grand old time, setting up teleporters, erecting dispensers, and building sentry guns. I think about the massive support they are doing for their team, transporting their teammates as fast as their level 3 teleporter can manage, their dispenser dispensing heals and ammo to make the medic jealous. And the sentry gun, a viscous area denial tool terrorizing my team. I think about the engineer behind his team, supported by his buildings, and his smug little face thinking that he is untouchable, doing 0 work but racking up points with his teleports. I can't have this. I can't have this one bit. Killing enemy players becomes meaningless.

Not when they can come back into battle instantly. I make it my mission every pub game to wipe the smile of the engineer's face. Backstab the engineer, sap the teleporters. Make the enemy team walk to the frontline, because how dare they teleport on my watch. I don't even let him rebuild. I'll camp out their spawn until he places an entrance teleporter, wait until he is at the frontlines then sap, knowing the engineer cannot do anything about it. Next is the dispenser.

How dare the team get so many heals for free. They better learn to walk to and fight over health packs like savages. Sap the dispenser and gun it down quickly and I don't care if I die because my job is done. They won the battle but lost the war. I don't even care about sentry guns because they are the engineer's weakest and least influential building but I'll get a sap on it too if I can, just for the bad manners. I gain pure enjoyment and satisfaction out of making the engineer rage. I laugh as he spychecks corners while I am sitting on top of his dispenser cloaked. And my mission is never over until he successfully rage switches classes. And even after that, I still target him for daring to play engineer on my watch. I can do nothing but think about the engineer and how he must be punished.
