Dark Souls is a masterpiece. It is hard, but never unfair.
Its PVE aspect is great - it is challenging, but extremely rewarding. No other game can give you such a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction as Dark Souls - when you're stuck at a boss for several hours, learning his attack patterns, weaknesses and strengths, and when you finally beat him, you really feel like you've actually accomplished something great, and this feeling stays with you for the rest of the day.
PVP aspect is also great - unlike other games, there's a unique system of people "invading" other worlds. Takes a bit of practice to get good in PVP, but it is a lot of fun.
Final verdict: 10/10 Go and purchase the game, it is worth every penny you pay for it.
