Solid Game, Like it way more than Helltaker's gameplay wise.

Game is simple, run around moving items from one spot to generators to repair them, repair them about 5-8 times (depending on stage) and you win.

What makes it fun are the Ghosts and sometimes your own special ability.

Some ghosts are simple and just chase you, while others will require you to remember their patterns and move in certain ways. All while needing to adapt to what items the generators need for repair, which can determine how you decide to move around. (and sometimes being able to dash, very fun, loved those levels)

All of it combines into a really fun gameplay loop.

There are some downsides, mainly with visual clarity. Everything Dangerous is a bright neon green, which isnt the problem, its when you see a green popup warning you of an incoming attack but you mistake the warning for the attack which will just kill you after thinking its safe. I think a red for incoming danger instead of everything being the same green would maybe be better for visual clarity. but im no gamedev...yet (its so hard man)

Outside of that small issue that i was able to get used to...

I beat it in under 2 hours man, I really think this could be more fleshed out for a really awsome puzzle bullethell, more ghosts, objectives, ect. man i just want more.

(also maybe just an option to play as male character, i didnt notice till after I completed the game so i didnt mind with or without it, more booba is more booba AND WE ALL KNOW WHY WERE HERE lol)

I don't know what they did but this game is just worse then it was when it came out.

Hitboxes are constantly lagging behind and hitting me when they shouldnt
strats that I got so good with to where it became muscle memory just now dont work.
Went from being able to consistently clear the hardest difficulty to maybe ill make it to room 3 just to die instantly to insane burst.
Old items like sticky nade are now completely worthless even when you get 10x of em and are litterally only good for scrap now
For some reason lunar coins use to be a rare sight and a special thing to hold on to and gather, but now every match i get 10-20 of em so there is no reason not to spend em when you can

Just what the hell did you guys, do what happened here?

I'll start this off by saying I don't hate this game and has potential, but just like Lost Ark the game loses me once you reach max level and if you arn't going to grind every day, dont bother.

(I've already been kicked from a guild for not logging in for a single day)

*Pros
-Decent story, kept me interested through most of the main questline.
-World is interesting to traverse and explore
-Combat although clunky at times, when it works feels fun.

*Cons
-Dungeons are nothing more than basic mobs until you reach the final room where the boss maybe has 2 mechs that change halfway. Hopefully they will improve them massively in the future, so there is actually something to learn throughout the fight instead of just instantly killing you because its your first run through. Also the 3 a day limit is stupid and only put in place to make loot "rarer" for a slightly longer period of time.

-Gearing is quite annoying but not impossible, mostly requiring you going out and farming open world dungeons/instance dungeons/ open world bosses. The problem is that there is no way to acquire loot consistently, mostly needing to farm mobs for hours-days straight or pray and hope the dungeon chest or boss fight gives you what you want. With the 3 per day dungeon limitation this can become a hassle doing the same dungeon over and over getting nothing of use.

-Combat/pvp is way too cc heavy with little way of defending yourself besides just getting pocketed by a healer, with the 3v3 mode i mostly feel like im stunned for %50 of the round with no way of staying unstunned besides a tiny text box telling me someone is using a move that can be blocked, no visual indicator whatsoever.

-Movement can be super annoying and buggy with characters jumping around or getting stuck all the damn time.

TLDR; good game, not harsh on the p2w aspects so f2p players can actually enjoy this game on a similar level, however this game and its community I fear is already becoming heavily hardcore and requires you to dedicate way too much time then its worth.

One of the worst feeling "Tac" shooters ive ever played, and ive played them all.

Guns have so much recoil its impossible to control even after spending time trying to aim train.
Guns sound and feel like they shoot blanks if you dont hit the head
Movement feels like walking through a jungle and quicksand at the same time.
Next to no sound besides basic walking sounds which I straight up took as ambiance.
None of the utility feels solid to use and half the time you can just walk through it with 0 issues

The most fun i had was just running through enemy spawn like it was call of duty, and you never want that to be the main take away from your blatant mishmash of concepts that dont work.

I've never said this about any other game, dont bother.

Its A Realm Reborn...no seriously its just a realm reborn and after figuring this out I want a new story writer instantly.

You start off by going to 3 different places with their own mix of cultures. These 3 places can easily be compared to Uldah, Limsa, and Gridania with just a much smaller impact on the world. The Writing will even make "references" to how similar they are to other cultures we already know...

The writing is also so beyond predictable its horrendous. The moment any problem pops up some character will instantly show up with the solution. Non spoilery example: "We need to track this big beast, how will we track it at its high speed and multiple elemental typings." character pulls out a cartoon hand that can track a specific element. Player proceeds to use hand to track ONLY ONE TYPE. After no luck, "hmm, maybe it cant track due to the multiple elements" Beast proceeds to let out a scream nearby and player goes to fight it...like...really.

The worst thing of all is the villains which are also just comparable to A Realm Reborn, or even (and i hate to say it) WOW SHADOWLANDS. Your shown one villain, but that villain gets redeemed (very well i will add its a good part), but then the guy that's "totally not the twist villain" becomes the main villain, and then there's a character you think will be an ally (just like Thancred in arr) but nope, becomes the main final villain that actually orchestrated the main conflict.

I was willing to give this writer a shot, but this is beyond bad to the point I'm not willing to give her one.

Everything else is sub par, the new zones are again very comparable to previous zones (hell 3 are basically the same agriculturally) The Music is mostly fantastic as well as the dungeons and the 2 main towns. But there are also some out of nowhere high school musical track that feels so out of place it ruins the emotion its trying to portray.

In the end, this expansion just feels like filler. Nothing serious or gamechanging happened besides the possibilities left in mystery at the end which is okay...but that's what endwalker's post content did too and it just feels tiring. I know this game will get better and this is just a rough transitioning point for the game but damn if this isnt a rough start, and killed my hype pretty much instantly. Its not just Wuk Lamat that's a problem, its the entire writing and concept of it all.

(break the damn azem's crystal so we as the player can go back to a weaker state, its clear the player needs to be knocked down to be able to have real conflict again)

play this game through one time, don't worry about the achievements or speedrunning it. If you do hope your ready to bash your head against a wall as to why every run the swords seem to act differently. Ill get the damn under 3:30 achievement, but I wont change my review. there shouldn't be this amount of rng with the physics, I shouldn't need to learn this weird jump by swinging the sword backwards, I shouldn't need to learn short hops or whatever to get 100% on a free game.

Edit: I give up, time doesn't stop on stab instead it stops after a 3 sec animation. that's fun, i love losing the achievement due to something out my control.
