Bought this game never intending to play it but its a Wednesday evening so I decided I'm gonna 100% a random Hentai game and give it a serious review because why not?

First of all, we need to address the elephant in the room: the plural of Succubus is Succubi, and you could have made the title rhyme but you fumbled.

The game play is okay, it's kinda janky at times. The game never explains what to do, but I THINK you have to stay within the circles for the allotted time. Getting hit doesn't let you progress until your cursor respawns, which takes like 20 seconds to its a bit annoying. Each level doesn't really seem to change and the enemy seems to get a new move added to their move set with each level, randomly picking between them, this can lead to unavoidable hits. There was one move that spammed bullets in a semicircle near the end of the game which made the FPS go down to like 5FPS. Sometimes the capture points are just busy work to extend the level, like taking off ear rings or adding a glob of baby batter. The way the camera pans in a totally different direction can also cause you to take damage, it's kinda annoying.

The music isn't great, I ended up muting the game and putting a documentary on while i played it. Sometimes it felt like I was waiting for stuff to happen so this helped get through.

There are, in fact, zero cream pies in this game. In fact, even if there was, the poses wouldn't be able to convey it, besides the last one except for the last level which already has one of the succubi exposing her genitals, and even has you capture a point there only for nothing to change. I would have appreciated some varying body types too.

Would I recommend the game? Not really, everyone has their own tastes but the art you unlock is alright, but it's not exactly jork worthy, but maybe that's just me. Does it function as a gag gift you buy your friend only for them to never play, yeah, but I still wouldn't recommend it. I've seen games like this incorporate story into their games, for example, Deep Space Waifu.

I really love how this game feels to play, its amazing to master the movement and just nyoom through the game on an additional playthrough, it just BUGS me that there isn't more. Please make more Webbed, i adored the game's charm, from it's dialogue, to it's music.

The only thing I'd change is how the web affects physics objects, as it just isnt fun to add 20 webs to an object you need to lift, maybe there is a smarter method, but the only way i could lift gears into the gearboxes was by adding a web to the gear and attaching the other end to the gearbox until it lifted in, so i usually resorted to jank via the laser beams to abuse physics objects

Bug Fables is well and truly one of my favourite games of all time. Ive never played a paper mario game until after i played bug fables, but my lord is this an incredible introduction to the genre, the characters, the challenge, the battle system, so much is a 10/10 for me and I'd recommend this game to anyone who'd listen. The only bad parts in the game I'd say there are, are sometimes the platforming segments can be a bit clunky, and Vi's Beemerang is infuriating to control sometimes, I feel like when throwing if you should hold B to lock her position which would bring up a crosshair at her feet, then you could aim it with the control stick. Sometimes the battle menu's confuse me even after 78 hours ingame, i think the vine coming from the top of the screen is misleading as that's also where the health bars of the characters are, but the menu appears above each character, and the character health bars dont move relating to party position so it confuses me sometimes.

I love the game so much, I've dedicated myself to beating the final boss once a day until we get a sequel, you can find them both on youtube and twitter @DailyEverlastingKing and @DailyEverKing respectively.

All in all PLAY THIS GAME

This game is a bunch of good ideas and very poor execution. It's really lacking in polish, there were so many times where id just clip through a solid wall and fall out of bounds. 80% of the time I was playing the game, i was just getting frustrated because I'd clip though a wall or penny would fling off in some direction when im telling her to go another way. The mechanic of having health just seems kinda pointless and leads to more annoyance than any challenge, as the devs have either placed barely any health in the map or way too much. The movement is pretty slow too, you can ride your yoyo but i found myself rarely doing it because penny would just ping off in some direction and i wouldnt be able to regain control before she flew off the edge. The story may as well not be there as well, like the game hints at some kind of line of story but its just not really there.

This game just feels like it needs another year of polish. I didnt enjoy my time with the game, which is a shame because it looked so fun to play, in my final session of playing this game i fell through the map twice and me and my girlfriend were just racing through the game to get it over with because we just werent having any fun at all.

God this game is bad compared to the other 2, has to be the weakest in the series. As a kid i never even knew this game existed, im kinda glad i didnt because this game is a slog from start to finish. It reeks of that mid 2000's edge, and it yet again tries to change the formula of Ty resulting in being completely removed from the series. Individual boomerangs are now gone, replaced with stones. I dont think the game requires you to use them once, i used them around 3 times in the game, twice to burn spiderwebs, and once to freeze a hot rock, which was all for bonus collectables, as such, doesnt seem to bother explaining them once. Speaking of boomerangs. they barely matter anymore! The main enemy you see now are the titles quinkans which ignore your boomerangs and only take damage from your new melee which doesnt work half the time. The sections in Shazza's jeep have been replaced with this crab bunyip which controls like it's on ice constantly. Speaking of bunyips, over half the game seems to be bunyip missions with poorly explained controls, they have the audacity to plop you back in the same mission with a different bunyip like 3 times. Just dont bother with this game if you're a Ty fan, anything past Ty 2 seems to be a low effort cash grab.

I think its a little scummy of Mike to not provide early backers on itch.io with a steam key. It's not like it's difficult, itch.io has a feature to provide backers with steam keys. The early backers are the ones that made this possible and are the reason the dev got merchandise opportunities to begin with. There are a lot of people on your twitter announcement asking the same thing which the dev is selectively ignoring. I get the game is cheap, but its a matter of principle. Pulling a Todd Howard and asking people to buy the same game twice just to have it on a preferable platform is just kinda scummy in my opinion. Again, I get the fact the game is cheap, but expecting people to buy your game again to enjoy it on steam when you can very much provide the early backers with steam keys just doesn't sit right with me.

Disappointing end. I was with this game since the start, i think the last time i played Vasagatan was the furthest theyve developed. The end is just a dude you meet then and there and the writing is just, you should hate this guy because he is bad. Brilliant game, but the writing they did is high school level at best.
