This game somehow feels lifeless (no pun intended). I get bored pretty much instantly.
Feels bad to give this a negative review because the core ideas and mechanics are polished but I just did not get hooked.

The game is not bad per se. I think people enjoying the first Darksiders will like this one as well. But I expected it to be more diablo-like or more precisely more of Darksiders 2. Open world, loot, skills (kinda limited but that is not hat important). I got bored pretty fast. Maybe I give it a try sometime later.

Very useful tutorial. In 10-20 min you learn everything you need to jump into a game. The AI is very easy on "normal". I finished 2 games (as broken lords and the cult). I never played civ so I cannot compare these two. Maybe I am missing sth but this game gets boring pretty fast. I cannot put my finger on it but this game lacks sth. All units feel the same. There is no interesting technology. But I kinda liked it anyway. I will come back to this one after I have played civ, endless space or humankind.

It is impossible to not recommend this game because it did so many things right. Gameplay is very fun, especially when the nostalgia kicks in. But I think it will be hard for people to enjoy it if they have not played it back in the day.
