Surprisingly good!

I globally love all the Wadjet Eye games I'e tried so far. I thought this one would be weaker than the others (the plot is not really appealing at first sight).

But I was quite positively surprised.

The game has the usual qualities of any other WE games : the voices and musics are sublime and help building the ambiance, clean point-and-click interface, old school graphics, interesting characters

Don't except epic action here : it's rather a tale of the building of Miami, based on real history (the story is written in 4 chapters spreading over a decade of the early Florida construction). And it's very well written

However, dont expect hours and hours of gaming : the game itself is relatively easy (mostly logical, there's only a few harder puzzles, and at any point of times, only 3 or 4 locations are avaiable) : I finished it in about 6 hours. But these 6 hours were worth it.

Well, this is not really a "point and click" adventure game, since it's keyboard only (the 4 arrows and the 'enter' key will be sufficient).
I will start with the bad points :
* The game is not really difficult and the adventure part, fairly simple, can be finished in less than 10 hours (mostly spent watching the dialogues and scenes).
* Using Linux, I faced a few crashes/hangs (the major unavoidable crash being resolved in the Steam forum), and one of my saves crashed the game when trying to load it ... Quite annoying (you can't skip the scenes if you know them already).
* Random bits and bugs here and there that wont affect the game, mainly during dialogues (weird dialogue-loop, disappearing subtitles)

However, I absolutely recommend it : it's a wonderful, very immervise game.

Everything is beautifully designed : wonderful (yet old-school) graphics environment, dialogue extremely well written and wonderfully interpreted; touching, emotional, dark, addictive scenario, that is slightly modified according to your actions ; music very well done as well.
I can't remember when was the last time I was actually paying attention to the scenario in a game and actually listening to the dialogues, simply for their beauty.

Summarizing :
If you want some melt-your-brain adventure, go away, there's very little challenge here.
However, if you want to discover a wonderfully dark game, then sit, relax and click the start button and enjoy the interactive play! The 8-10 hours spent are worth it.
