Great game, been playing since beta. It's come a long way, much more balanced for both killer and survivor than it's been in the past for sure. Once you get over the fear factor of the killer while playing survivor, it gets much easier.

I enjoy this title a ton. Prior to team17, I accepted that black matter was a small company so I had much lower expectations for patching, DLC etc. However, since team17 gained IP rights, they're doing the same thing that most video game companies are doing. They're sucking every penny they can get without listening to the fan base and fixing current issues. Adding purely cosmetics because it's the lowest effort with some of the highest rate of return on investment. For example: look up the 2023 roadmap when they took ownership. Every update had "Premium DLC" (just cosmetics), merch store was created in june. Lastly July had an in game store created.
Team 17 is running the game into the ground.
-NO new maps should be created until current ones are fixed. The game is very horribly optimized. I have a 3080 setup. I should not be fighting tooth and nail to get a consistent FPS on maps. NOT for a title that is 5 years old. I've spent 10-20 hours trying to follow every guide out there to increase my FPS and it's minor improvement at best. (NOTE: 1440p resolution, Epic settings on viewing distance, LOW settings on everything else.)
-Cosmetics that are $12. -- MOST can only be played on one map
-Creating new modes before fixing previous ones.
-Buggy machine gun mounting, still hasn't been fixed-- even since day one.
-Awful tutorials, causing people to immediately start off with bad fundamentals.
-Game Pass & free weekends. While these can be greatly beneficial to increasing player count; it feels like every team is littered with new players that have no desire to improve. They treat the game like a CoD match.
-Not listening to the community

With the above said, will I continue to play? For now, yes. I enjoy it, it's the best WW2 sim out there. While I'm only a fan with an opinion. My opinion is that if Team 17 would add the community in to the decisions for future updates. Most would agree for the integrity of the game, optimization should be first on the list. NOT useless DLC.
