its the only game you will ever need to be honest, tons of fun, lots of mods, lots of activities. you could play for hundreds of hours and still find something new and fun to play or use from the workshop.

All I had was a shovel, I had thrown all of my granades, but I was stuck alone in the enemies' trench.
While trying to find my comrades, I happened upon almost half a dozen enemies.
Something in me sparked, I'm not sure what, but I charged, brutally smashing the first 2 men's heads.
The others turned to see me bash another one of their comrades' faces.
They shot, most likely before aiming, and they missed me by a margin.
I could only see black and white while I screamed something only a savage could.
I stuck my spade into the last few enemies.
When I had finally awoke from my barbaric instincts, I sat there, speechless, wondering what I had just done.
All I could hear was one of the men screaming, and another gurgling as he choked on his own blood.
I was still paralyzed when I came to the realization of what I had just done, "Wha-...AHHHHHH!" I screamed aloud, fearing the monster that I had released.
War is hell my friends, war is hell...

I really didn't expect much when I first bought it but wow is this game fun to play. The controls maybe confusing at first but there are some very well made manuels on the internet that kept me playing. It has more than what really meets the eye. For my first playthrough I thought that grinding was the only way to rank up, and ranking up only usually happens when the higher power dies. I later learned that you could assinate the other lords, and attack their villages to weaken their power and up your standing in the realm. You can also dishonor the other familes in several different ways. I know I just kinda went off a bit but I just wanted to point out that this game gives you more than just one way to play and more than just one way to conquer Japan. I would honestly recommend this to anyone who loves older games like these and has the patience to learn the controls from an online manual for the game.

In the small amount of time I have played the game, I have already begun to love it. ( I will add more once I've played more)
