I am 41 years old, I have been gaming since I was a child, and without any exaggeration, I have never been so frustrated over a video game in my life. Underneath the nonsense is a truly stunning game. One of the most deep, beautiful and sometimes satisfying games I could ever imagine. But the guidance is truly abysmal. The tutorials are a joke for starters. Often there will be some sort of tutorial happening at the same time as story narrative, so you are literally expected to read 2 things at once, and once you miss the information its gone. I have spent the vast majority of my playtime on google trying to figure out even the most simple of things, only to find some of the most angry inquiries Ive ever seen in forums (so Im far from the only person getting frustrated at the game). For instance, and the thing that finally pushed me to writing this review... one of the story missions is to simply fly from one sector to another, and when you try to do that, the ships I try to send just refuse to fly there, for no apparent reason. This is a sector I have already visited, but now all of a sudden I cant, and the game gives me no clue as to why it isnt possible. The devs are about to release another huge DLC, yet cant even put simple mission guidance into the game. Its as though the devs have gone out of their way to make the game as vague and obscure as possible, but for what reason? It just kills the fun altogether. I was about to buy the game for a friend for christmas, but why would I want to put them though this bulls*it too?!

Edit - Ever been in one of those toxic relationships where you cant stop thinking about them, but you know that whenever you see them it´ll end in an argument? Well this game is that relationship. I have changed my review from negative to positive as I feel its unfair to leave it negative when Im still playing it. Just know what you are getting in to, an incredible game that will annoy you!

Absolutely sublime game, but what separates this from other racers (and I have played very very many) is just how much there is to do and think about while you are actually driving. You will go from thrashing the knackers off the car to nursing the thing around the track, depending on how far the guy in front or behind is, WHO is in front or behind you, how well your tyres are holding up, changes in track conditions, you have no time to get complacent here. If you have even the slightest interest in anything with wheels, buy this game, buy it right now, or I'll fall out with you. Forever.

I thought I was pretty good at management games until I played this.

8/10 would lower my self esteem again.

This is actually a really good little simulator. As you can see, it's in a similar style to Rimworld and Prison Architect, but unlike those games you won't kill half of your population just by taking your eyes off the screen for a second. That said, it isn't overly casual, there is plenty to micro-manage here, from staff management to making sure your shelves are stocked with products that are in demand. I highly recommend this if you are into sim/management games!
