Smidge, Fluff, & Noggin...my favorite original Worms worm names (from the pc demo), much better than Boggy B. Boggy B is overrated.

Overall, the original Worms isn't noticeably less cool than later versions, except I guess no superweapons and limited jumping ability and some other things. So maybe actually it is less cool. But not much.

If your idea of a good time is hanging out and text-only chatting with strange strangers online, well, so far so good, except you also have to want to do so while performing menial repetitive tasks made necessary due to a combination of annoyingly aggressive AI and lazy game design that makes you do all the things that the game should be doing for you. Also, this game will steal all your time if you let it. Very basic abuse of the strange "click buttons repeatedly to get more imaginary stuff" human compulsion. Can't recommend, the game could've been done much better. Hardly even need to mention the Pay2Win aspect, its there, sure, but why would anyone use it? The game's not enough of a game to warrant it. I used to waste time playing actively and was part of a house etc etc but by now let one of my 2 worlds rot and the other is just in maintenance mode as a neutral player (and is mostly dead anyway, in terms of human participation)...HIGH maintenance I might add, due to the nuisance AI...but nonetheless I try to neglect it for the better part of a week typically, and then send my monks to heal everyone's disease so people stay happy enough with me as a neutral, and fix all the stuff the AI wrecked, all the while micromanaging all the stuff the game should be doing for me. Oh, speaking of which, a large part of the paid element in this game is actually pay to micromanage slightly less, which is an atrocious use of the "premium time" concept in a game. In summary, if you're on the fence as to whether to start into this one or not, the answer is, don't. Just wish I'd have seen more negative reviews before I started.
