Early Access Review
So.. where to begin :C
Got the game a couple days ago, since then I've spent 35hrs in it trying to keep the Sturgian faction alive. The game's playable tho some factions suffer more than others (f.e. Sturgians), combat is imo much better than it was in Warband, battles are much more lively. It's surely a worthy successor of Warband tho it still needs time and lots of fixing (God fix those faces, please do fix faces cuz I'm already having nightmares) and more content, after the first couple hours I ran out of new quests, every quest became a burden especially when u had to travel to more locations etc. and experience 25 loading screens (which imo shouldn't be a thing, those loading screens are killing it).

-PROS:

Better combat compared to Warband (imo)

Much bigger map with lots of factions (including minor factions)

Ability to execute(strangely satisfying)

Wide range of companions

Castle/town upgrades (will return to villages in cons)
--and more

-CONS:

Influence and voting system = if u don't have any influence/have low influence u can't vote == loss of relationship with clans

Villages are basically recruiting stations = if I come to my village I wanna do more than just buy and recruit, I want to increase it's prosperity not from the castle with 2 clicks but by actually building stuff in the village (as in Warband but better), Bannerlord has the potential to make it happen
Armies = the only way to do something u wanna do is to create an army which costs lots of inluence, why not bring back the option to advise lords on what to do as in Warband?

AI = probably the biggest drawback that I've noticed, they do things that make you question pretty much anything in existence... We're loosing a war and our opponent has twice as many soldiers? Sure, let's siege that castle in the middle of their realm, they definitely won't come to kill us in massive force... There's a castle they just took and it's only got 50 defenders, we should retake it back, but why would we do that, that one over there with 3x as many defenders seems prettier (u get the point, campaign AI is very clunky imo and sometimes even combat AI with their commands)

Map = this one is aimed mostly at Sturgians, they are stretched thin along the northern part of the map that's always snowy(movement speed debuff, I know about their culture perk but wait), their armies are very slow in general because they're mainly using infantry, in Warband nords had the same issue but they had the highest athletics, which I don't think the sturgian units have thus if someone summons an army on one side of the realm it takes ages for everyone to come making their armies very ineffective

Economy around villages = (again I'm gonna reference Sturgians cuz I've got the most experience with them) Villages in Sturgia have pretty much only animals(excluding sheep and horses even tho there is a Sturgian horse), flax, fish and some have grain... there's only ONE village that produces iron, meaning Sturgia's economy is only based around very few "products"

My conclusion: Even tho I named many cons (mostly because some things don't work like they should imo) I'm giving the game a positive review because it is still in early access and trust TaleWorlds will refine it so 10 years later we can all be excited about a new MaB game that's gonna be as good as the previous one. I'll be updating this review until the game's complete.
