Chapter 1: Just Another Day

The sound of an alarm blared through the bedroom

Mei's hand gently pressed the buzzing alarm clock, she yawned as the button depressed.
"Hooray! What a great sleep!" she declared.
It was 5:00 in the afternoon.
"Time to get dressed and start my day!"
Mei walked to her closet, filled with various cosplays of Phantom Assassin cosmetics she had accumulated over the years.

Now dressed (The neighbors had previously complained), Mei ran out the door and down the sidewalk.
"Another day, another PA adventure!" She yelled to nobody
"Critical hit! TeeHee!"
Mei exclaimed, leaping at a passing jogger.
"Take that jungle creep"
Mei said as she hopped towards a neighborhood dog.
"I’m gonna get you Roshan!"
Mei excitedly cried as she lunged at a passerby.

"I'm all farmed up now, it’s time to take on the enemy base!"
Mei entered a nearby strip mall, a huge smile spanning across her face
"Haaiiiiyaaaa!!!!!! take that Axe!!!"
"Blinkstrike! Boom! Gotcha sniper!"
"Dagger throw! It's your turn Omniknight! No heals for you!"
With the enemy carries down, Mei swiftly turned to look at the enemy throne.
"I just need to destroy this and I win the game!"
Mei pulled out her handy-dandy zippo lighter and a rag soaked in kerosene.
"You’re going down Dire!!!!"
Grasping the rag in her right hand and lighter it with her left, Mei hurled the burning rag at the enemy throne.
"Victory!!!!"
Mei shouted with glee.
Her day now completed, Mei quickly skipped back to her house, the sound of victory sirens echoing in the distance.

"Time to DOTA!"
Walking into her house, Mei restfully sat back in her gaming chair, started her computer, and booted up discord.

"Hey it's Mei!"
Her discord friends stated excitedly as she joined their channel.
"How was your day Mei?"
They inquired

Grinning, Mei answered back
"Oh you know, just another day!"
Chapter 2: The Aftermath

A detective and his apprentice stood in a police-crowded parking lot.
"In my 30 years on the force I have never seen anything like it"
The detective wiped the sweat off his brow.
"Two joggers and a dog, cut to ribbons. I have never seen anything so horrific in my life"
Looking up at the burnt down strip mall, the detective wiped a tear away from his eye.
"Did you see the footage?"

"What footage?"
The apprentice asked

"You know, the video of the girl"
the detective sighed.
"When I got back from the war, I didn't think I would ever see anything like that again"

"What was in the video boss?"

"That girl killed two of the shop attendants in cold blood, she was smiling the entire time, this was personal."

"But there are three bodies boss, who is the third guy?"
The apprentice inquired

"That man was a doctor. When he tried to help the victims, the suspect flung a knife at him. It pierced his heart. He was dead in seconds."

The men stood there for several minutes; their eyes locked on the charred building.


"This is the 14th time this month boss."
The apprentice said in a tired voice.

"Yup."
The detective replied.

-Today's the day!
Meitred grins ear to ear.
-A day Like no other!
Hopping to her feet she flings the door to her closet open, racks of Phantom Assasin style pajamas line one side,
the other a mixture of clothings, ranging instead from casual to formal, but very much still Phantom Assasin themed.
-Todays the day I get to play Phantom Assasin!
Twirling around like a disney princess holding to identical sets of PA garbs Mei cannot seem to decide on which one to wear.
Her mood only seems to improve as she skips around her bathroom holding her dagger themed toothbrush and blood red toothpaste.
Her shower curtain looks like a murder scene from Dexter. Her toothbrush holder like Crystal Maiden.
-Just a friendly little maiden!
She stabs her toothbrush into its holder, tideys up her helmet, and rushes over to her computer.
next to her is two bowls, one of spagetti and the other peperoni.
Dota 2 7.21d loads up on her moniter
-Insta lock PA! Insta lock PA!
hours pass by as game after game ends in twenty or less minutes, her team screaming toxic insults at Meitred as her ancient falls
-Battlefury, jungle creeps! angry little bountys and sneks away!
Its nearly 4 AM and mei finally decides to switch into her pajamas. She takes nearly an hour deciding which pair. All of them are identical.
Afterwards she almost immediatly falls into a deep sleep. Endless dreams of slaughtering helpless creepos awaits.
This scene isn't as rare as Mei's minds makes it up to be. In fact, every day starts the same exact way for her, and all of them invlove playing PA.

Dude omg, I was playing middle yesterday and this dude named Inspire or some ♥♥♥♥ picked PA with 25 DOTA PLUS LEVELS ON THE HERO!!?????? How do you EVER play a hero this many times???? This ♥♥♥♥♥♥ didnt even fight just farmed a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BUTTERFLY first item and then disapeared for 35 minutes. Needless to say I got crushed

Canada is like that PA picker that I see sometimes in my pubs
It’s absolutely horrid to play with for 35 minutes until the PA 1 shots the entire enemy team and we win
And then when the game is over
It’s like ‘what do I do now’
