If you're trying to push the game to the max-which puts a large strain even on the newest hardware-then you're going to have a bad time.

I have a relatively powerful Rx6800 paired with an eight year old i7-8700k (non OC'd) and the game runs at 60 fps at QHD (2560x1440) resolution on high settings without a hitch, with frame generation.

**A note for other AMD users: The AMD adrenaline softwares 'Anti-lag' setting can and likely will cause the game to crash, turn it off**

I had a communication error issue during the initial release but to my surprise it was my internet providers' equipment that was causing the problem.

Crashing on the other hand has unfortunately increased in frequency but not to an unplayable degree.

The game is phenomenal, the story is well done, the new monsters are all very fun to fight. The environments are incredibly detailed. The low/high rank story lasts about 30 hours (with some old fashion monster hunter grind in-between).

Being a newer release, the spring of content isn't quiet over-flowing, but event quests will be added soon and I'm sure the title updates will add plenty of fun and formidable monsters to chew through. (Update Below).

After fully completing the base game, the only real "issue" I have is preferential and centered around the decoration system. I personally didn't ever use the weapon swap mechanic, akin to old games, 99% of the time I used the weapon I started the quest with.

The shift in the decoration system where offensive skills are used primarily on weapons and utility/defensive skills are armor feels needlessly restrictive. Also, the current lack of decent level three decorations for armor really limits what you can build for, for now.

Hopefully between the title updates and the as-of-yet-unannounced G/Master-rank expansion adds an expansive collection of decorations to give more depth and identity to player builds.

Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of people who are having serious performance issues, and like everyone, I hope Capcom can address them in some manner.

Update: The upcoming August update (8/13/25) is reportedly introducing an RNG talismans system wherein offensive weapon and armor skills-unique or otherwise-will will be obtainable.

This is an answer to my above gripe about losing out on certain offensive and utility skills due to poor weapon/slot pairing.

The First two title updates have introduced some awesome changes to the general gameplay loop, QoL, and difficulty.

Arch Tempered monsters and new 8 star variants add a level of challenge I think most players found was missing during the initial release period of the game.

Challenge quests for unique weapon pendants, a slew of event quests, and the addition of layered weapons all make playing the game better than ever.
