✅ Cool guy !!!
Mr. Trump ( if you are reading this of course), the 1 year grace period is over.
You baited the fools, and they stepped in their ship* everytime in 2017.
( * ships are big boats with P's!)
Let the investigations begin.

Encryption in the US is now permanent. Any attempts to implement a sort of key escrow (government stores decryption keys), or to legally require that you store the keys and provide them with it when they demand so, will fail to pass due to the complex changes the commercial world would face and lobby against.
The NSA has totally and fully destroyed the balance between privacy and security, and instead has heralded a world where nothing can be decrypted. Cyber crime will continue to spike and reach record levels while the ability to fight such crimes will drop to the lowest points ever.
The NSA has repeatedly failed to protect their own systems from external access resulting in
Eavesdropping on Americans and international citizens by the NSA will continue to worsen as they become desparate to get information "necessary to fight crime". We already don't trust the NSA. How long will it be before someone breaks into their data archives, and gets access to the world's information? They already fail to protect mere classified documents.
The NSA needs to be shut down, for the sake of international security and peace. It's too late to fix the damage they've caused, but it's not to late to prevent it from getting any worse.
[end transmission].
...I think I hear the NSA knocking on my door - I gotta go. ...cover me...
Indeed the NSA have made a great mess of things, but Comey stating that the FBI is unable to open 50% of said devices is doesn't sit right with me. Reason being is that he's been the most untrustworthy FBI director this country has ever had, and, frankly, I'm surprised that he still retains his position.
I'm no tech guy, but a man who essentially admitted that Hillary Clinton committed numerous crimes while she was Secretary of State and then says that he's not going to charge her and prosecute her leaves me to believe he doesn't have this great nation's best interest at heart.
And I'm telling you, the sooner he's relieved of that position the better.
But the Untied States is at a point where it will be impossible to undo the mass use of commercial and consumer level encryption.
Basically, security in the US is screwed. The NSA is to blame for this mess, entirely. In fact, the director of the NSA who gave the "OK" to spy on Americans, is solely and individually responsible for this mess.
Chemtrails everywhere.
What do?
Either way I think we'll all end up insane . . .
