Nice game, needs more content. Worth it, if you have a good computer and find this game on sale for less than 40€. 7/10 There's under 20h of gameplay without grinding the same missions over and over again. (It took me 14,5h to complete everything, missions, campaign and class trials included).

Play the games in chronological order, you'll thank me later. The world building is immaculate and progresses really smoothly along the trilogy. The gameplay choices carry over from games 1,2 and 3 really well. Unfortunately the ending of game 3 is somewhat of a disappointment and quite frankly ignores all your choices, but 95% of the gameplay is still affected by your choices in and between the games. Companions who die are remembered, events you caused are noted and commented, and you have some unique carry-over choices based on what you did in an earlier game. Especially the major choices of MSE2 influence your options in MSE3 greatly.
Now, to the actual review.
IMO: MSE1 has the most genre-fitting gunplay and my preferred inventory and item system and the most RPG-elements by far (combat is quite similar to Halo 1 and 2), but is otherwise quite clunky (in a homely sort of way). MSE2 has the best companions and 50% of the best side-content, and my favorite lvl-up/progression-system. MSE3 has mostly cool action and the best visuals, good quality of life improvements compared to the two earlier games and the most casual lvl-up-system, the least RPG elements, 30% of the best side content (two longer side-quest lines in particular), fewer impactful choices discounting killing/saving some followers (basically choose which lives and dies). My biggest problem with MSE3 is that the combat feels really restricted by the newly implemented weight-system (only in MSE3), and the variety of biotic/tech powers available to the player during a single playthrough is really underwhelming. Otherwise the combat and movement is the smoothest of the three games by far, it's just a shame that using cool guns effectively makes you unable to use you powers (the more your equipment weighs, the longer your cooldowns are). Also, almost all your armor either gives power bonuses, or weapon bonuses. A balanced build is hard to make work, unlike in MSE1 where lvl-ups and the weapons themselves had most of the stats.

TLDR: MSE1 best gear system and most genre-fitting gunplay and the most RPG-elements of the three games, but the worst quality of life gameplay-wise and feels its age as clunkiness.
MSE2 most of the best side-content, most rewarding exploration, best companions and mediocre combat (not the best or worst). Also the median quality of life and over all RPG-ness of the trilogy.
MSE3 has the smoothest combat, movement and quality of life, but also an annoyingly limiting weight system and only bare-boned RPG elements. MSE3 might be THE casual RPG of the 2010s. Also MSE3 has the worst PC keybinding options of the trilogy and a pretty disappointing ending that kinda undercuts all of your choices during the whole trilogy. Still probably the best game trilogy I've ever played.

The fact that I played the whole trilogy in 5 days (89h of gameplay in 120h) and pulled two all-nighters doing so, might tell you something about the merits of this masterpiece of worldbuilding and action-packed casual RPG greatness.

A really solid auto-battler, that's very similar to DOTA autochess. Solid roguelite progression for a freshly launched game, easily 30h of fun and new content and interesting challenge runs for extra variety. I wholeheartedly recommend for anyone looking for a fun single player experience.

A lovely auto-battler with beautiful animation sprites of most of the greatest D&D and classical mythology inspired monsters and champions. The game runs smoothly with any old "potato" and has the familiar gameplay elements of rogue-lite progression and a savings-based economy (every 100 gold you hold unspent gives you additional passive income next round, up to 700 gold for a bonus 70 gold per round with all rogue-lite perks eqquipped). I wholeheartedly recommend this charming indie-game 9/10 if you get it for less than 10€/10$.

Combat falls flat on it's back. It feels clunky, unresponsive and is really simple. I hate it, but otherwise the game is an absolute masterpiece in every regard i can think of, so my suffering is managable.

A great sandbox base building/defense experience. Think; top down hack and slash meets Satisfactory-like sandbox base building, only this game is very accessible and more beginner friendly in the campaign than many other similar games. The game has decent complexity, but is not overwhelmingly complex and you will have ample time for trial and error.

The periodically attacking alien hordes keep you engaged in the gameplay and provide a welcome break from near-endless base expansion (the admittedly large campaign map is still finite). Enemy variety is decent, although there are also quite a few recolored enemies that are merely buffed or larger versions of familiar enemies. The horde defense approach to combat however greatly diminishes the issue of average enemy variety, as it doesn't really matter if the 2000 enemy models you mow down consist of 8 different enemy models or 16, given that the 8 models are all truly different archetypes, designs and sizes of enemies. Your main gameplay variety comes from your Mech (your controlled character) customization and an endless pursuit of base and production optimization. Customization consist of weapon, equipment and gadget choices and a choice of movement skill. All of these are subject to a strait forward crafting system, with the familiar color-graded quality ratings. - The stronger the item, the more resources it costs. The game's campaign is fully voice acted with commendable quality, which gives it that extra charm it needs to keep you interested through out the 30 hours or so of content. 30 Hours, If you go for the main objectives efficiently and leave the sandbox building and borderline-obsessive base expansion and optimization for later. Personally it took me 40 hours to complete the campaign on just the second-highest difficulty, and I still left A LOT OF OPTIMIZATION undone. My only real complaint is that the all of the storage building's capacities are way too low, resulting in game-engine/fps-straining warehouse complexes even Bezos can only dream of. 8.5/10 Will play again, definitely worth the 40€ it cost, perhaps worth even more.

The game is pretty fun, but it only took me 11 hrs to 100% it so there isn't that much to do. 36€ seems like a really steep price when there isn't even any real replay value. For some reason you can't grow beyond a lvl 30 "mega" size, which sucks since "being an absolute sea monster of a unit" is a major part of the whole game's appeal. "Feed and Grow: Fish" does the sandbox eating and becoming "a terror of the waves" part better, but this game does look more beautiful and has solid mechanics all around. I did find the evolving mechanics really lacking though and had everything at max lvl even before I beat the final boss. I'd say this is a 6/10 or 7/10 since the game is fun to play, runs smoothly and is quite enjoyable. However the lack of replay value and limited amount of content may be a severe turn off for some players.

Very satisfactory. Conveyor belts, some animals and vehicles lag quite a bit in MP on the guest-end of the connection but as it is an early access title, that's understandable. If you don't mind a bit of lagy tomfoolery now and then, MP is definitely a great experience with the boys. Gameplay is smooth, straightforward and enticing. There are some survival game vibes with the presence of hostile fauna and flora and a player healthbar, but nothing that'll get in the way of building the most magnificent industrial complex imaginable. The sky's the limit and I haven't found the ceiling of the skybox with my mountaintop factories, yet. The game picks up very fast and you'll be feeding an endlessly looping cycle of fuel, electricity and production, before you notice you've blown out the fuse of your brain-aching electrical grid, again.
