this game had me sitting on high alert till the very end. its suspenseful and it has alot of replay value with the steam work shop. and for 24.99 usd before tax i would get it or when its on sale. bloody good game

well atleast now we can play doom 2 and get doom 2 with doom 1. see rockstar, this is how you do it properly.

the game is dumb fun and is easily done so with kbm or a controller.

the game is kinda broken you need to do 2 things

download the patch to update the game to work on windows 10/11

and put this in the games launch property on steam for the game

well you play as max years after the first 2 game nosh!t

i had issues with the rock star launcher not accepting my login info or anything on my main pc at one point so the game would not work. ( they fixed it, it works now )

but before i could not log into the dumb 3rd party service to play angry ♥♥♥♥♥♥ flees nyc to Brazil
the game works as it should so go get em and dont play the MP no one plays it anymore

MAX PAYNE 2 . the game works on windows 11 and windows 10 unlike the first game. the game does need edits or fixes remedy figured out how a hammer works and became a neanderthal and put the nails in the right way when codding the game.

fyi the first game has issues that makes it unplayable

it would be cool if remedy/rockstar would fix the game for windows 10

there are alot of issues.
no fps lock the games everything is tied to the fps. the game likes a solid 60 but the game does not have a vsync option. ok so why not go to the nvcp an lock it there- it doesnt work the game is coded like a monkey hammering nails sideways.
ok fine then use nvidia profile inspector ? yea it works kinda you get horrid mouse acceleration

oh you dummy why not use the fix it all patch with the dgvoodoo thing. yea it works for a bit but it can crash on you

the game is codded for specs for the 2000 and 90s hardware for 600x480 on moderns machines the game has ALOT of issues like the physics being tied to the frame rate. alot of games from that era have this issue but with max payne its not easily fixable since no one has figured out a concrete fix for that issue. ive tried reshade too and that kinda got the game going alot better but it forces the game to be played in with the mouse no longer locked to the games window.
just play with a controller ? the game still runs with the worlds worst stutter know to man even with a controller.

now if you run the game on 1 monitor and you dont have multiple monitors youll have a far better time than i have with 3. and dont run the game past 60 fps or the game wigs out oh and make sure to download a patch so you can play the game . BUT WAIT on ryzen 3000 cpu's and 5000 those cpu's just dont have the right instruction set or something i have no clear understanding why. to get that to work you have to have a hex editor and mod line 000256e0 and the last 3 hex from what ever they are to 90 90 90

if you cant stand the mouse issue or if you play the game and have more than 1 monitor womp womp deal with it.
the game is good but dont expect to play it on windows 10 or 11. get a windows xp emulator going and drag and drop it into a vm and play it at 30 the latest version of oracle has 32 mb of vram as the max the vm can use so max payne 1 will run for the most part with no issues. FYI; max Payne 2doesn't suffer with these issues it works without any patches on windows 10/11
