Minor bugs here and there, nothing massive or gamebreaking. Will probably be patched by the time u read this.
Hopefully more maps and customization in the future, but so far everything is fleshed out, runs well and combat never gets boring since there are so many classes to play as

This ♥♥♥♥ fell off

I love this game, but is it just me or does this game have some technical issues?
I notice that in fights, for some reason jin wont always block or dodge when i tell him to, as if there was some sort of input lag. When i get hit by fast attacks or i have to dodge, i swear that i hit the buttons at the right time, but some times ( not all) Jin just doesnt react and i end up dying.
This sort of ruins the combat, but other than that, this game absolutely slaps.

My childhood game finally on steam.
Please remaster or rework this game. So much potential if it was reworked with modern technology.

This was my original review. Now my review is the complete opposite. Even though they went back on their word and removed PSN, the action is unforgettable. Greed, greed and more greed.

good game but i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate defending forts. Theres not even a mechanic for sending your units into a defensive position, you just tell them to go to a random place on the wall and they automatically line up on the castle wall to defend, something that doesnt even work 90% of the time. Defending becomes almost unplayable and its kinda crazy how this hasnt been fixed after all these years.

Otherwise game is solid, but mods make this game way way better

I came back to unity after a while after i was looking for new games to play. I didnt stay for long.
Writing this review i first had to read other reviews to see if anyone agreed with me, but apparently this game has some pretty good reviews which is wild to me so i wanted to give my take.
I just want to say that the level of jankyness in this game is beyond comprehension. Maybe its just a PC thing.

You wanted to jump into that haystack after struggling for 20 minutes with a mission that should be less than half that time? Too bad, you just jumped over it and fell to your death. Enjoy starting over.

Wanted to play stealthy but you are being spotted? What a shame cus the animation to turn around and move away is so slow that you're gonna get seen by the time you have actually turned around.

And then, you finally finished this god awful mission you never want to do again, well, you didnt get the pants you wanted so, try again?

I see many saying this game has the best parkour, which i somewhat agree, but when it works. Any small objects in the way, change in the path like a window or an angle will just cause Arno to do exactly what you dont want. This is because the game tries to predict where you want to go, which is just an absolute pain. No gravity, no weight or control, it feels floaty. and it lacks polish.

The story is alright, and you get to meet Napoleon which is a W.

The map is big enough, plus there isnt just Paris, there are also 2 other towns.

To wrap it up, the skill system sucks, the AI sucks, certain missions arent difficult in the sense that they challenge you for the assassin you are, instead certain missions feel like the devs rushed it to move onto other things and the challenging part is to stop yourself from quitting the game.

Thats about it, i give it a 6 out of 10. The game aint bad but it sure as hell could be better. Just get Black flag.
