Haven't played for a couple seasons, only minimal changes have been made, graphics still awkward but some good changes and additions. Overall it still holds up and plays as well as ever. Still recommend.

As always, steady progression has been made and these guys are still giving a lot to the community.

Have enjoyed this version, a few improvements here and there, trading and typeface UI improvements but the culling of leagues is probably the big drawback. Overall, still enjoying this version. Non Perfect Team player.

Haven't owned since 2021, still as playable and immersive as ever. Few nice touches added.

Great additions to FHM 9.

Requests raised by the community have been brought in by developers who are in touch with those of us avid fans who play it, they do their due diligence and the title seems to be evolving with each release. Having played FM on and off since the early 90's, I find the pace of that particular title with all its depth too slow and easy to be mired in the depth. So what really appeals to me about the FHM series is how quickly you can get through a season without feeling passive towards the cause and effect of a season and your decisions. Occasionally it is easy to feel a loss of control but on the whole decisions do feel as if they have effect. Therefore the tactical compatibility is a great new feature. Injuries are still tricky despite the sandbox allowance of injury frequency, there are a few bugs here and there plus simming can be a little sluggish. The additions and improvements to the game overall have made it well worth buying the new version an already excellent and highly addictive product for any hockey fan. If you're contemplating coming across from EA's titles and enjoy the backroom side to the game, this is well worth a look.

Despite the discontinued EHM being playable for so many years, FHM I feel has broken that shackle over the past few years, it's evolution continues and it remains one of my favourites. A few things to iron out with the build on first release but overall, very happy with FHM 9.

Cracking hockey management game here, not without it's faults and room for improvement but it feels as if it's really grown in the past few years as a sim compared to FHM4 which was the previous version I owned and rarely played. The comparisons with EHM can cease too I feel. Super immersive, great AI but once again not without small flaws, overall though I'm thoroughly enjoying a couple saved game simultaneously, one modern the other historical. Can't stop playing.

Deeply immersive and nuanced game. Don't think I've ever played a game that has remained so playable and has had more longevity. Well suited to those who are knowledgeable about horse racing but those who are new to it all can find a way and play the game of their own merit and level of interest.

Early Access Review
There's a lot to like about this game, the sandbox element allows for creativity and while there are imperfections and mild limitations within it (the infamous timetabling system) developers are onto improvements and expansive updates. There is scope for widening the game but as is it's still fantastically addictive and just so playable. I'd highly recommend if curious and thinking you may be interested; if you're an armchair planner, keen on railways or both.

Compelling and addictive with a good blend of dark humour and stress. The story line in particular lured me in, the old school style pick up and play style of game also makes it fun to play for the time poor.
