It's a year later, and it's still hard to believe you're gone. Last year, today was perhaps the worst day of my life, and I will never forget it, but more importantly, you. I like to imagine that maybe somewhere you're watching us go through our daily lives and laughing with us and encouraging us. That's what you used to do. You've left a lot of weight on our shoulders. But I like to think that that's there to remind us of the spectacular person you were, and maybe help us strive to be a little better of a human being, every day. Sort of like the kind, selfless guy you were.
We miss you, my dear friend. We are grateful for the time we had with you, and when you went away.. the world got a little dimmer. But we'll keep it bright for you, my friend. Because that's what you were; a shining light in the darkness.
