Solid game. Great atmosphere and music and art direction, decent story and gameplay. The fishing loop gets a bit repetitive, but the game is the right length to not get too stale. It feels like the world was meant to be bigger with more characters, which is the one big letdown of the game. Overall, B+

Great moment-to-moment action and lots of cool potential for synergy between the many perks available. I also particularly like how at higher difficulties enemies don't just have more health and do more damage like most games, but learn new behaviors and attacks for a meatier challenge. The game can get repetitive if you play a lot, but I still enjoy it.

Totally mediocre gameplay, but push through it to experience a unique and powerful story which totally subverts the genre. Recommend it on the strength of the story alone.

It's a mixed bag in its release state, but already has the makings of an exceptional game and a worthy successor to Warband. I have confidence it will eventually be the game we want it to be.

My favorite Total War game is still Rome 1, but this is still phenomenal.

I love Sunless Sea. Its atmosphere and writing are some of the best I've ever seen in a game, and the roguelike elements offer lots of replayability and roleplaying opportunities. Do you want to be a simple, honest, and likely poor tradesmen? A conniving smuggler? A cannibalistic psycopath? The greatest explorer in the Unterzee? All are possible. Highly recommended. The only cons are the simplistic combat and the incomplete nature of the game, although these will probably be fixed soon, updates are good.

It's good, and there are many valid arguments for it being one of the best TW games ever, but there are two things I truly hate about Shogun 2. First, there is no unit diversity whatsoever, your armies are nearly all identical. It's boring. I miss elephants. Second, blockades can entire cripple your economy with no warning in one turn and it's impossible to guard a trade route dozens of miles long. The trade system sucks. Otherwise dope.
