Pretty good game, 7/10. Though it's in other places that I have MAJOR issues. I won't go into the optimization issues that were patched out.
-Pros-
The intro cut scene slaps
VERY good graphics
Scary, kinda
Killing enemies using hazards is fun
Good length, finished in around 10 hours

-Cons-
Combat is clunky (very original I know)
Virtually no exploration required, hardly any items scattered around
There's only like, 5 weapons, compared to Dead Space that had at least 10
Almost no replay value other than new game +, which didn't even come with release...
Lots of moments where you're forced to move at the game's pace and not your own (Forced walking sections)
Can't skip cut scenes
Enemies become less scary and more annoying towards the end
Season Passes are stupid

I don't understand why game developers can't just give you a COMPLETE FULL GAME WHEN YOU BUY IT! Instead we have to wait to purchase more content

Honestly one of my favorite horror games ever made. Even after 10 playthroughs it still makes me jump

Please bring back the dinosaurs, also these new maps are bad, I liked this game until now, please change it.

Pretty fun, except that spider map 0/10 too scary

Honestly this game is fantastic. It vastly improves what the first one got wrong, and I still loved the first one.

The Evil Within felt like an RE4 and RE1 mix, and I personally was fine with that. This game however, feels like it has it's own identity, with open world done right, linear when it needs to be, fun villains and enemies, and great atmosphere.

At first, I didn't like Sebastian's new voice and personality, however the more I played, the more I fell in love with it.

The stealth system is honestly one of the best I've ever played, sure it can be a little buggy at times, but it never took me out of the experience.

I know the whole "Save your daughter/wife/family member" can be an overdone trope, but I have no issue with it, because it's a goal that anyone can relate to, I mean who wouldn't wanna save someone that they love? Even so I can understand the criticisms, but honestly I feel this game handled it very well, I actually cared about Lily and Sebastian, and if the game can get you to care, that's a great achievement.

Absolutely loved the "Overcoming your trauma" aspect of it, I won't be spoiling here, but there is an amazing part towards the end that really spoke to me personally. Most of the time when a horror protagonist suddenly gets very brave it annoys me, cuz it's unrealistic, but here it actually makes sense!

It hurts to know this game didn't sell as well as the first, because I would love to see a third game. Keep up these great horror games Tango.

This might honestly be the worst game I've ever played in my life, no sarcasm, and I wish I didn't have to say that.

Being a long time FNAF fan, I was kinda excited for this, even if the visuals put me off a little, after playing it, it honestly enrages me how this has positive reviews. I get that most of them are jokes, and children who don't know any better... and that's fine, but I worry the devs will look at the numbers and think this kind of ♥♥♥♥ is ok to release.

I genuinely hate this game. Sticking your hand in a wood chipper is a better experience than playing Security Breach. It's lost every bit of what made the first games so great. It's very clearly directed towards kids, it runs terribly, the gameplay is boring, it does a horrible job giving you instruction so it's easy to get lost and not know what your doing. You might say that they intended that, and if that's the case then that's just bad game design.

It's like they looked at Alien Isolation (Which I didn't enjoy either...) and decided to make it like that. This time with an "Open World" well... the open world doesn't work. Honestly this game would be much better if they made it more linear.

Enemies say the same dialogue over and over, the laziness is just impressive really.
The security bots are annoying, I get they're meant to spice the environment up and not make the game a breeze, but they wouldn't have had to add them if they made the game more linear!
Freddy is a fun character, too bad he's programmed horribly, and half the time won't even listen if you call him.

A lot of people like Gregory, the kid you play as, I honestly despised him. Gregory is an awful character, the things he says and does, are just so annoying, they should have just made him a silent protagonist like every other FNAF game.

And the worst thing this game does... IT'S NOT SCARY. My left elbow is scarier than this game.

Boring, repetitive, uninspired garbage. I know this review is quite harsh, but I do this because I want the devs to succeed, I don't want them doing this again.

I wanted to wait till they patched the game to give my thoughts, but the patch is honestly a complete joke, I don't know why I was expecting anything else.

Please don't do this again Steel Wool, I know you guys can make good games.

Yep, I'm doing something that is unforgivable on the internet, I'm changing my mind.

This game used to be awesome, now it's an unbalanced, broken as hell mess. It's gotten worse and worse with every update.

After hearing about this game having it's last update, I am rather disappointed with the end result. I said I recommended this game before because I wanted to give it a fair chance, as it was constantly being updated. But after this I can say with confidence that this game has failed my expectations. Absolute wasted opportunity. The concept for this game is great, too bad the devs didn't seem to know what the ♥♥♥♥ they were doing.

Here's a short list of problems:

- No anti-cheat, now never will have it because it's a finished product.

- No dedicated servers.

- Valerie's surplus skill is still broken.

- Jill still exists.

- Nicholai still exists.

- Way too easy to make a cheap build exploiting broken ♥♥♥♥.

And I could go on and on. The balance of this game is one of the worst I had ever seen. Specifically on the survivor side, apparently the devs can't make up their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind when it comes to character classes.

- Valerie is a healing character, yet she also has damage skills?

- Becca is a firearm damage character, yet she also has debuff skills?

- Samuel is a damage melee character, yet he also has healing skills?
CEASE THIS NONSENSE NEOBARDS!

It really makes me sad, I really don't want to say I don't recommend this game, I still love it and I'm gonna try to stick with it until the very, very end. If this truly is all the devs have for this game though, then I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend this to anybody. I gave them a chance before to fix all of these errors, but to hear that they are done and not fixing them is truly heartbreaking.

If the devs decide to keep going, then maybe this review will change. Don't think for a second I hate this game, because I don't. I'm just being as honest as I can here.

So far, i'm very impressed. Buy it. Now.
