What an absolute joy of a game. I can play it when I want to relax and unwind. I can play it when I want any degree of challenge... Plus the music and presentation is just really enjoyable.

What's especially cool about this game is I started it feeling like I was actually a n00b learning a sport. I sucked and didn't know what I was doing, but before I knew it I mastered jumping, then flipping/spinning, then speed control and how to plan my routes better... Then eventually you're doing an absurd obstacle course where you have to learn how to jump even more efficiently to go farther, higher, better maintain your balance, etc.

You can take your skill level and understanding of the movement in this game pretty far or just a little ways (like me) and have a great time the entire journey.

Great game in general but I especially recommend it to anyone who enjoys downhill sports IRL.

Wow. I came into this looking for an action packed top-down shooter and this game absolutely delivers on that itch... and way more.

There are so many different vehicles and weapons that handle and play so differently. Some options are absolutely more powerful than others and that's honestly part of the fun. There were stealthy sniper builds, hit and run builds, run and gun builds, moving fortress builds, and every flavor in between. It scratched my itch for chaotic shooter action and for something far more tactical, and I think that the variety of different gameplay styles has kept my interest alive far longer than I was planning for. Some vehicles can feel clunky to control in exchange for speed or defense, but I really appreciated how each vehicle felt like it had a place it was best suited for. The controls will take some effort (and maybe an extra mouse button or two) to master, so just be aware not every vehicle can be operated without effort (but some definitely can).

Oh, and if you love the presentation and dystopian sci fi, this game nails it with some fascinating and meticulously written lore--but you can skip practically all of this if you don't want to do tons of reading.

One of my favorite games ever and totally unexpected. Can't wait for the next game in the series.

I absolutely love this game but would guess it's not for everyone. The combat plays pretty fast and there are a lot of mechanics to master which overwhelmed me a bit at first--I didn't even use a lot of the yokai mechanics at first as I struggled to learn the flow of combat early game.

If you're looking for more intricate combat with a great amount of depth and variety this game absolutely delivers if you have the patience to learn it. It's worth it to look up some guides for the combat and level progression probably as with any Souls-like, but once you learn it all it can feel really bad-ass. You can always do co-op or summon npc's to make it easier too, but I really enjoyed the mastery I felt from solo-ing the game.

I found the aesthetic and setting to be a lot of fun too. Admittedly the story and characters are nothing too special but they're still fun and not detractors I'd say.

The world probably won't be as satisfying to explore as any FromSoft game and the game uses a mission structure that re-uses maps, but I found the levels/scenarios well-designed and still good.

The combat is definitely the selling point of this game so I'd do some research to see if that part resonates with you. If so, you're probably in for a great time.

I loved the Spider-Man 2 game from the early 2000's and this game feels like a worthy successor to that style of game. The presentation is amazing and all of the movement and fighting animations look really impressive and fluid. The story is good with the highlight being the villains IMO. The stealth segments are a bit silly and basic to be honest so I usually used it sparingly when I had a choice--but fortunately you usually do.

The segments where you have to play as a normal person are pretty standard and mostly just interactive cutscenes but if you're invested in the story they're not too long and probably preferable to having too many pure cutscenes.

The DLC were decently fun too aside from the buggy and obnoxious screwball challenges.

Overall I think it's a really great game.

My favorite 3D platformer not published by Nintendo by far. Really great and fluid movement in addition to fun locations to play around in. The game does a great job of varying the the way each level plays out and although some are clearly better than others, I had a blast the whole way through. No-brainer recommendation to anyone who loves the genre.

This scarcely represents the Halo campaigns we knew and loved and the story/characters have tons of issues (especially for people invested in the series). But I'm still recommending it because I had a ton of fun with the gameplay.

The map isn't something that will be fun to explore every nook and cranny of but the combat and abilities were a ton of fun to play with--especially if you master the movement quirks. The grappling hook alone makes this sandbox-style Halo campaign worth the experience. It really speeds things up and gives you a lot of options/creativity for how you want to fight or approach an enemy encampment.

Play this if you enjoy the combat of halo campaigns and want to have fun experimenting with a lot of new options/scenarios.

This game was a trip of fun boss-fights and has a really fun presentation and style. You'll probably appreciate the presentation more if you love anime of course but I don't think it's a requirement. The boss fights have great variety but I will admit I found one of the final fights to be a bit of a tedious departure from the rest of them. Still had a blast with it.

One of the most addicting games I've ever played. If you're a rougelite lover this game is the pinnacle of it's kind. There's a perfect balance of variety and depth to the weapons and abilities and the game incentivizes you to try new things to keep it fresh. I also never would've imagined such an engaging and interesting story would work with that genre but I couldn't stop playing and trying to advance the relationships with all the different characters.

And the music perfectly matches the intensity or vibe of every scene.

Just an awesome experience that I would consider a must-play to anyone remotely interested.

I had always wanted to play these games as a kid but never had a playstation. I absolutely loved finally getting around to it and recommend it to anyone with love for platforming. Especially if you like collectathons. The gameplay felt like it held up very well with just a few annoying moments where some gems seemed difficult to reach.

Great blend of lite souls-like combat and jedi powers. The exploration is a bit like metroid prime and although some didn't care for the back-tracking and lack of fast-travel, I found it was mostly well designed and that the story naturally reintroduces you to old areas via new pathways. If you want to 100% this game it will probably be more of an annoyance but I did the vast majority of exploration organically with only a few sessions of leaving the story path intentionally to finish off a few achievements I was after.

The story was good aside from maybe a couple moments--although I say that as a Star Wars nerd so I'm probably a little biased. I'd say it's a great game with just a few complaints and I'm really excited to play the sequel.
