Who doesn't love Democracy, don't let what Sony did tarnish this magnificent game it isn't the Devs fault. Easily one of the best coop games I've ever played, dozens if not hundreds of hours of fun to be had and they will continue to add content to this game over time.

Whats good: The narrative is very well designed and keeps you engaged, its a fitting conlusion to Lara's Introduction Story Arc. The visuals are also amazing, its by far the most beautiful of the Tomb Raider games. The stealth mechanics work wonderfully in this game, which is how I prefer to play it, you're given a full and diverse way to approach combat and deal with enemies how you see fit, unlike previous TR games there are far less forced wave assault sections which is a bonus. I've already complimented the visuals but the enivorment gets it own praise, its beautifully designed and all the mechanics work really well, climbing tree, swimming underwater, jumping off cliffs.

Whats bad: The performance of this game I would call abysmal, now I don't exactly have high end graphics, I've only got a GTX 1060 aferall but I feel like that should have been enough to run the game smoothly on at least medium but that wasn't the case. Most of the settings were set to low and even then I was still experiencing stutters and frame drops. The lighting/shading sometimes was glitchy and would flicker depending on where you moved. The Audio also had significant jumping and stutters, more so towards the end of the game where dialogue became out of sync with the cut scenes and the music was all choppy. Even when the cut scenes worked as intended it felt off, fading to blacks mid conversation and brief but awkward silences between two characters talking when it should have been smoother. I feel like most of the work went into the combat and story and little into performance and optimisation which is a shame because nothing pulls you out of the narrative more than buggy/glitchy cut scenes and dialogue.

Overall I'd give this game a solid 7.5/10, if you've got a high end PC you might not expereicne these problems, but even then there's a chance you might. If you've got anything less than a 1070 I'd seriously consider just not getting it unless you're willing to overlook the poor performance.

1.0 update #2 crashed 4 times in an hour, game unplayable. But oh boy am I glad they released loot box keys you have to buy irl. That is totally what they should be working on instead of stabilising the game. I knew this game was bad but with a group of friends it can still be fun, but now with the lag and constant crashes its unplayable. I regret the day my friend convinced me to buy this crap.

Raising prices for the summer sale is disgusting marketing and Paradox employee's should be ashamed. Content that is quite rightly required to make this game more flushed out shouldn't get more expensive, that's never how the market has worked. Games and DLC are supposed to get cheaper over time not more expensive. But because Paradox know more pepople would be coming to buy because of the sale they've put the prices up.

To make matter worse the CEO then has the audacity to make a post about reverting these changes.... but that won't be until after the summer sale is over. Meaning they've litterally just racked prices for the summer sale and then they'll return to normal afterwards. Disgusting.

Early Access Review
Although the idea of working with team mates to control a ship may seem very appealing, that is all that there is. No storyline, the bots are atrocious (both friendlies and enemies), no pvp feature, the game gets very repetitive very fast since jumping into a system will always yield one of four possible scenarios and the planets aren't much better either. In fact the only thing I enjoyed about this game other than working as a team was upgrading my ship but even that lost its appeal when you come to realise with the majority of the enemies that you'll either always win or always lose regardless of what gear you have installed.

This game had really great potential and I really wanted to like it, but it just doesn't perform.
