To put it bluntly this game isn't worth picking up (at the price it's at currently which is $59.99.)

I am a little under 20 hours into the game and have practically done everything this game has to offer. It needs more meat on its bones if they expect people to shell out a full $60 on this. The DLCs offered do nothing to remedy this issue as each of them feel like they were made in a week. You can clear an entire DLC in under an hour and while they allow you to replay them, there really is no point other then to farm currency for random loot. You also don't have a real reason to replay the game as you can somewhat swap your entire characters class, although you wont be able to do every single combination on one character.

The story and writing is something I can shrug off. I don't think its necessarily bad even though some of the voice lines make me cringe, but I can also tell its just not targeted for me. The inverse could be said for the earlier entries and some players not enjoying the writing in the Borderlands universe so I don't feel I can fault the game for that. The progression is an interesting idea and I enjoyed it but I wish they kind of stuck to the DND theme of the game. It's kinda off putting to believe that its just a tabletop but the way its portrayed is more akin to you just existing in the table tops dimension? One or the other would have been better than both at the same time.

The guns suck, they don't feel as fun as Gearbox traditionally has made them and changing up a lot of the formula with all the extra equippable slots isn't something I'm fond of as it's still a little too complex for me to know if I'm building correctly. The entire feel of the game however is very polished in my opinion. I rarely come across gameplay issues but I will say their system for hidden collectibles is so asinine. It's so much more painful to collect everything than it was in Borderlands 3. I absolutely detest this system.

In total I give the game a 6/10 but highly suggest avoiding it at it's AAA price tag.

Can't find a single player in matchmaking and missions are impossible solo.
