TLDR: Game good, performance meh, mtx totally ignorable w mods.

Just download mods to have a relatively playable and fun experience (totally bypassing mtx)!

Apart from greed, DD2 is a good game that's kind of filled with minor bugs and optimization issues. I really only had its clunkiness really show when you are in the main cities. other than that the game runs relatively smoothly i.e in forests and what not. The map is huge and has tons to explore and look around.

idc how janky it is, ive been waiting for this game for years. with some polishing it will be a great game for sure. until then. patiently waiting again.

Hmm either play on hacker infested dice owned servers and get high latency, making it unplayable or play on community servers in japan with no hackers but still high latency, thus making it also unplayable...

as of 6/3/21, this game is still so badly optimized. The minor bug fixes and patches help somewhat but the overall game runs so bad that its almost not enjoyable to even play.

not even going to go into detail about how unbalanced and stupid the AI is in this game. all they do is just walk into each other until they are point blank and engage. no looking for cover, no mechanized armor/infantry action. they just stand in the open having a shoot out until all your elite and veteran troops are wounded/killed by light insurgents. its just not fun.

If Daft Punk songs and more customization were added to the game I would literally sh!t myself
