The game used to be great, but the Devs are extremely disconnected from the community.

I have been playing this game for years, but I cannot recommend this game, specially to newer players. Their constant nerfs to systems and game mechanics that could help out newer or casual players, because they want a game that is entirely RNG and gambling based, is unsettling for the future of the game.

Triple nerfing to Harvest Crafts shows how disconnected GGG is from their community that loved the system, and while it had flaws, instead of fixing these flaws to make it more enjoyable for players, their decision was to nerf every aspect of it. They mentioned the actual issue of the currently implemented system but decided to not fix what players had been truly worried about.

I'm by no means a casual player, and I don't think I will be affected by these nerfs, but I don't think I could enjoy playing a game while my fellow Exiles are back to struggling through the game with mechanics that have been purposely made to be as unfun as possible for you because that is the idea of GGG that will cause "player retention" and "excitement" when it just brings frustration to these newer or casual players.

GGG used to be full of Devs that we would praise for listening to the community, but I don't believe that this is true anymore. This game has been going on clear, rapid decline. Path of Exile has a free tag, but it is still too expensive to try.
