From my personal experience with this game and the people I know that played this, the experiences has been mixed due to many bugs and inconsistent fps. It was going alright for me until I hit chapter 5 when the frames just became too frustrating to play. Of course Ive heard people with even worse experience than me and people who had better but some of them had to do some adjustment to their programs that you would never had to do with any other game you played. EX. play around with anti-cheat, uninstall anti-cheat, adjusting the affinity core to 1, etc. I personally cannot guarantee your experience with this game would be the same as me or the people I know so instead of me just giving you reasons why you should buy or why you wouldn't buy this game, I'm going to ask you 2 simple questions.

1. How confident are you in your PC/Desktop?
2. When you pay $60 or $105 (delux addition), do you expect to be given a full functioning product or do you have the tolerance or have the hopes it would be fixed for you in the future?

Wow another dlc, another late review from release. Roast me if you must. Now lets see what we got here.

Story continues from 1 chapter worth of information from dlc 1 like I stated in my dlc 1 review and I gotta this....... wow ok much better. Now just a heads up at the time when I finished dlc 2 i didny watch the Alternate SAO GGO Season so after seeing the 2 new character I was in the dark. However errrr they were interesting expecially Shirely. Clarence was weird but after this game got me watching the anime i realized he was a women lmao. However like dlc 1 there was a ball busting issue I have to address and for me it was even worse because of Shirley. We'll get into that after I address the dungeon and diffculty.

So yea ummm I flew through this dungeon 10-15 min NG+ like in DLC 1. However theres 1 big difference. DLC 1 I flew through the dungeon in 10-15 min including the bosses. Here when i was the bosses I was very interested in the change of mechnics. Compared to the other bosses these 2 twins are a lot more mobile and thier weak spot is constantly moving for the most of the time. Now my perfect deathwind at that time only appied to Mech and lifeforms, but now they threw in humanoid bosses? WOAAAAAA that was a curve ball i didnt expect. Now i know you guys are going to be like kswizzel, you dont need to have that weapon passive to beat this boss. And your right, but i need to kill this boss as fast as possible because i am a certified digital farmer and i need mah perfect legendary loot. So including the 2 boss fights im going to include the time it took me to farm another perfect deathwind for lifeforms ,which i got super lucky cause it dropped on the second attempt on Concealed Genbu, and the time it took for me to maximize all of its passive stats which at the time i was loaded on credits. So it took about additional +30 min to do all of that and beat the extra boss that comes after that. It is more difficult but when you develope the habbit on noticing the pause moments in the boss in each fight then its actually not too difficult. However NOT EVERYONE GOES BY MY PLAY STYLE and base on other people in discord, they got thier cheeks spread and had to revert back to normal mode. So the dungeon def improved in terms of being challenging.

Ok so now to address the issue I mentioned before. This is the same problem I had with dlc 1 but its even worse because Shirley really got my interest. She had a badass personality and 1 sec into our fight, she landed a crit headshot on me, which took me wayyy off guard. Now onto the issue. Wow once again they didnt take advantage of the affinity system. And I fell to the same situation where I immediatly grinded her affinity lvl to rank 4 100% just to find paragraph text messges in my inbox? lol WAI. This is the same exact problem with my attempt with muskteer but shirley displayed more interesting personality which got me hooked. She acted badass and after seeing that I couldn't form a attatchment with her through the affinity system, I felt even worse than how i felt in dlc 1. I got slapped in the face. WAI you have it in the main game, but you dont have it in the dlc when you hyped up the characters and put them in the affinity system and have them as followers AND BECAUSE OF THE MESSAGES IN THE INBOX, THEY CLREALY SHOWED THAT THE CHARACTERS WANTS TO BE FRIENDS WITH YOU. Wow I'm truely stunned. I'm not even asking for a bed scene even though it appears its a SAO game tradition. I want my own cannon character's value to be developed through the other characters and thats also what makes this game unique to the other SAO games. That like saying oh dinner was made but only 3/5 people can eat and 2 people just have to stare at thier plate. The 3 people from the main game gets the affinity character relationship development while the other 2 are just errrrr there? Maybe they get a nibble but not the full meal compared to the other 3. WHY DO THIS TO US!?!?!

Ok like, dlc 1 new weapons and outfits. All different opinions if you like it or not. But they are harder to get thanks to the boss and the RNG Spawn of the golden Drone. Different opinions on how that golden drone is handled. I'm personally didnt care much for the weapon at that time even though people said its good.

Now the new home extention was good in couple of ways. I loved how we finally get to custimize the stat on our outfits btw however its doen different compared to weapons so err there might bemixed opinion about that. Revisisitng the affinity scene/ dialogues is fine too so you dont have to replay the entire game to experience it. The speakers playing different songs didnt really appeal to me but im sure some people liked it. However your extended room MIGHT throw you off a bit. The game allows you to customized a lot of thing before this dlc, but when they give you the room, you can't really make it feel unique compared to your character, guns, oufits, etc.

Ok now i was kinda annoyed about changing other character's outfits. It a good idea but theres a huge problem. You or your arfa have to be able to wear the outfit in order to color/ custimize it. Now if both your arfa and your character are the same gender well that can be tedious cause your going to change your or your arfas gender just to custimize armor to have the character whos the opposite gender to wear. For example both of you and your arfa are dudes and you want to change Sinon's outfit. Also the issue of coloring the outfits has been a problem for some people due to the lack of colors, or darkness or weird combination of area of the weapons and armor included for each part but lets talk about getting to that custimzation shall we?

So if you want to customize the apperance a bunch of weapons and outfits instead of just selecting different weapons or outfits, you have to talk to you arfa which might activate her asking to go out on a date or about a haircut or him/her wanting a new outfit. Then you got to click 1 or 2 times to find the option. Your placed in a loading screen then you can customized what the arfa or your character is holding or wearing. Boom your done now you want to go to your arfa or your character or maybe switch weapon or clothing sets. Well uh gotta go through a loading screen again and a take stuff off put the one you want on and YOU HAVE TO REPEAT ALL OF WHAT I JUST SAID ABOVE. Wow lmao. This might be small to some people but when your custimizing the apperance of a bunch of weapons or clothing for you and your arfa, do you really have to go through all of this? With that you also have to find where the acceseries/weapon drop or how to unlock the clothing to make it. I mean come on!. Its tedious.

So yea uhh would I recommand this DLC? Well I recommend this dlc more than dlc 1 but overall get this DLC if your planning on getting the rest too. Don't get me wrong, I think this DLC is decent along with some issues but due to the story, I'll advise you to get this if your planning on getting all of it. Grading this is going to be alittle hard for me but I have to knock a couple of points off of the lack of character relationship developement between us and the dlc characters. If you know what these 2 characters are about then the credit definetly goes to the anime and not the game. Final Grade I give it a C+ or a B. A full letter grade why? Well this game puts emphasis on you right? and how other characters see you (it could've been done beter but falls short). Compared to the other SAO games this is a pretty huge deal because this is the first time is implemented and shows why its unique, because its actually YOU and not Kirito. Also there was some tedious in terms of custimization that developed which I already mentioned.

So yea uhhh I might've not mentioned everything about DLC 2 but I do think the points I mentioned are important. If you got any questions just comment and I'll try to respond because I'm about to hit my cap on this review.

I am super late to this but better now than never. Ok so i beat this story dlc in 10-15 min and that includes the extra boss. I didnt even have to level going into it or anything. Just straight up demolished it in NG+. Now im going to cut some slack cause i farmed a perfect deathwind, going all out crit and damage increase in any way and not everyone does this. So in terms of the diffuclty of the dungeon and boss ill say its ok. However the story we need to talk about.

Ok so the story actually got my interest but then it falls short. And by short i mean literally short in terms of some of the ideas and length. The story itself is short and after playing it 4 times to see if im forgetting something i come back to the same conclusion. Thats it? Dont get me wrong it started off interesting but really? Thats it? Its like rading a book with a interesting story but stopping after the first chapter.

Ok now asked yourself how hyped you were when you saw these three chracters in the trailer. Welp lets dive into them shall me?

Wow wtf. This game had a good idea with a affinity system which unlocks relationships between the character and us. This actually put more value on us in the story. It does fall short on some of the characters but it is nothing compared to the characters in dlc 3.

Ok so uh ive ive kept tallies on the sentence each of the individual new characters have said in dlc 1 and i gotta say it doesnt even make it half way to double digits . And im including the stuff they say when they're running around with you. Im mean really? Common. You hyped this up and now you give us the characters that basically might as well be silent cause:

#1 they barely have any dialogues.
#2 we cant develope a relationship with them, therefore, why should we care?

WAI. YOU HAVE THE AFFINITY SYSTEM. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT. I swear i was fustrated after i farmed 100% lvl 4 affinity for musketeer just to uhhh get a couple of paragraphs in text in my message box. Every character does this by the way but unlike the other characters in the main game, the dlc character doesn't have any affinity scenes with you. So yea uhhh if you want to develope a relationship or care for these characters, the game will put a solid wall in front of you thats enough to break deathgun's proud sword he's so proud about.

Rest of the stuff like new guns and cloths im not going to rate cause its really your opinion whether it looks good or not.

The level cap increase is great cause it allows more creative build and playstyle. But there is a limit they should keep an eye out for cause theres a difference between unique playstyle/build and having almost everything.

This dlc gets a grade D. I didnt give this a F because not everything is bad and infact I did have some fun. But bascially a D means ok you failed but I can still overlook this and move on to the next DLC.

Would i recommend this? Not without the others so uh get this DLC if your getting the others too. Don't take this as ohhhhhhh Kswizzel is a troll after stating all of these bad attributes and still recommending it. THIS DLC IS NOT ENOUGH BY ITSELF. GET THIS DLC IF YOUR PLANNING ON GETTING THE OTHERS TOO.

That is all :) . Comment if you got any questions or roast me for being late lmao.

Ok so after seeing some discussions and reviews, I think I need to post my just to clear things up. This Seasons Pass ONLY INCLUDES 3 DLCs which could be the only 3 that was planned when the season pass was made at that time. Now if you want to know where I stand with the game, read my review from the game page cause posting it here will kill your eyes.

Now by the time you read this review, a 4th dlc (expansion) was announced and I'm already seeing hype and hate all over the place. ok i understand if you are disapointed with the game but this game isnt ment for everyone, even if you watched the anime or played the previous games. The game came with a different cannon story and this new game is made by a different developor. This new developer will give you a new experience compared to the other sao games. New doesnt mean you'll like it just because you played the other games. So just a heads up for those who expect the gameplay and the prograssion system to be the same. The game does have its positives but also have its negatives. If you want to see some of them, they're in my review in the game's page. Some people complain about bugs but apperently it doesnt happen to everyone. My game ran fine with no issues..... well there was 1. 3-4 times i hit a crit so high that it crashed my game lol, but i thought it was funny and it was fixed.

So yea don't expect the 4th dlc to be included in the seasons pass. This review isnt about me like YEA YOU SHOULD TOTALLY GET IT. No. This game will try to give people different experiences which will lead to different opinions. So when we look at future dlcs, lets not jump into conclusions before they show us more trailers and more details of its content.

So yea ummm as you can see my hours show that I did more of my fair share of grinding with more hours on offline mode so I'm going to frank about this game. Keep in mind this game isn't going to appeal to everyone even if you watched the anime or played the previous games.

Edit: Compared to the previous games. This game is made by a different developer and they will try to give you a new experience compared to the previous games. This new experience will set off alot of different mixed opinions on this game.

Positive:

Combat has taken a couple of steps forward with 1 exception that we'll get back later. Also I thought the progression system (stats, skills, etc) was simplified which is nice cause I dont my game time being taking away from me just to stare at numbers and perk trees repetitively lol. Also the boss fights are pretty well done and will be challenging for most of the players. Reason why I placing this as positive is because the progression system wasn't too complicated and NO I AM NOT COMPARING WHICH GAME HAD THE BETTER PROGRESSION DESIGN.

The game also introduces character costumization that puts you into the SAO story. I know some other SAO games does this but in the other games the story identifies your character as the main protagonist instead of the character you created. Fatal bullet however places your character into the SAO story where everyone see and interact with the character you created. The story compared to the anime is abit different because of the presence of new characters and yourself. Reason why this is positive is in the next point below.

Story is pretty good in my opinion although there are some things I wish that could've happen but I'm not going to let that affect this review since thats considered wishful thinking. What I liked about this game is the story focuses more on you instead of the main protagonist from the show. Also the story seems to emphasize you to the value of the main protagonist. Of course there are some dialogue you wish you could've said or fight you wish you gotten yourself into but look, the fact that a sao game is finally making you cannon puts importance and value on you. So this definetly deserves to be positive.

Also the game doesn't force you to play a certain style. It does open doors so some strategy/approaches. Sometimes you'll be able to figure out how to outplay some of the game's challenges which is nice cause its rewarding for your efforts. It not all about just spamming your skills or get flashy like a disco ball. Sometimes you got to position yourself and know when to take your shots or cast your skill to get the best results.

Also compared to some of the other SAO games I've seen/played, I've noticed some ambition being put in this game which is nice cause personally I do like new content that wasn't seen before.

Negative:

Ok so I mentioned there being one exception with the combat and that is the usefullness of the swords compared to guns. Swords are fun dont get me wrong but I've noticed something that put that combat style at a huge disadvantage compared to guns. Ofc I've gotten creative through gameplay but I dont think a average player would want to put themselves through that stress. If you disagree or want to know more then just message me or comment and I'll explain without taking anymore space in this long review.

This game has dialogue choices which is pretty cool but it looks like that they didnt develope/expand them further. Sometimes the choices kinda mean the same thing. Overall most of your dialogue choices doesnt really affect the plot. REMEMBER MOST. There are some choices that and interactions that do have a huge impact so don't get too confortable. The game also allows you to go back incase your not satified with the ending. If your fine with the way the dialogues are now then thats fine but keep in mind that theres almsot a clear sign of potential that the game is trying to do that it kinda froze at. So if they took the time to expand it more, you could've gotten a lot more at release than what you have now.

Alright now to multiplayer. Guys I know the game is called Sword Art Online but thats because its also the name of the anime. This game is not a MMO so lets not jump into conclusions just by looking at the title. The multiplayer in this game is kinda weak like SOME of the previous games mostly because of how the connection works. The only way I could play with people on discord is by adding them on steam and then inviting them. I have played with randoms but I somehow dont see many rooms poping up. Of course I'm going by my personal experience with the game so maybe someone has a better experience than me. Real reason why i put this on negative cause so many people complained about this before. If you dont have any trouble with it then thats fine. But i knew very few people that either had a issue with it or wish it could've expanded into more than just fighting a boss.

The AIs here can sometimes be dumb as a rock. You can change thier priorities/ combat behavior which solves most of the problems but there is 1 that still occurs a few time which is the non stop rolling of your AIs. If you go down they would sometimes do a barrel roll all over the place dodging bullets instead of simply taking a couple of hits while reviving you. Im putting this on negative because the salt is all over the place. I personally didnt really get myself into this position but the internet is filled with salt over this issue.

Mixed:

This isn't really negative or positive because some people are into that sort of thing. So I would put this game's grind on par with borderlands game. Do you need to grind to beat the game? No. Do you need to grind to absolutely rekt the game's challenges? Ya. Do you need to grind to git gud? Ya. Do you need to grind to beat your buddy next door? Maybe. Also I would like to point out that you can modify the drop chances in the game by increasing a certain stat or getting a certain perk on your equipment. So technically your playstyle can affect how easy or hard the grind is. I personally think its easy once I manage to make a loadout specifically to farm and I'm rocking over 10 legendary weapons with perfect passive combinations. Plus you can evenually buy the resources instead of grinding so that makes life even easier.

Ok so uh if your a die hard fan of SAO you might drowl over the cutscene/interactions/scenes. I like SAO but I would LUV if some of the scenes had gameplay. Make it so if your character is involved instead of the scene telling you ya you did it lol. Ofc not all scenes are like this but there are a couple I can think of. REMEMBER: SHOW. DONT TELL. Have us do it. Dont tell us we did it.

I know some people complaining about the 3D art which isn't a huge deal. The art is made to support the type of gameplay which is pretty good in my opinion and the open map. As long as your able to clearly identify whos who then you should be fine lol. If you want an example look up Xenoverse 2 and Fighterz. One is open and the other is like mortal kombat. Good news for those who like the anime art is that there are a bunch of anime scenes.

Conclusion:

Ok so thats pretty much all I wanted to say in this review. Does this cover every good/bad aspects of the game? Nope, but I do believe this does cover the most important/largest part of the game. Overall I think this game is alright. I loved how they made the character I created relevant instead of interactions just making me non existant. They brought in new ideas I liked but some of them weren't implemented to its full potential. My guess is Bandai was more commited to Xenoverse 2 because of the anime and the new movie comming out. However I strongly believe that Bandai is going to have the next game be able to import your character from Fatal Bullet similiarly what they did in Xenoverse 1-2. If you got any more questions or need help with the game just shoot a message/comment.
