METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER

By some miracle the game runs flawlessly!
An unreal engine 5 game that doesn't stutter?! It's actually unbelievable, and I'm still a bit stunned.
Beware that it's locked to 60fps for some reason, kinda sucks, but I'll take a locked 60 over stuttering any day of the week so this is a definite win.
Also for those with performance problems, for some reason the upscaling presets in the game aren't what they normally are, and should be. Dlss quality for example is 1620p, while dlss balanced is 1448p. These are normally 1440p and 1253p respectively, which would explain why it's so heavy for some users. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3559226130 - proof I was right.
So just a heads up, use performance if you normally use balanced, or balanced if you normally use quality.

The Thing: Remastered

Master class in remastering!

Nightdive studios is back, this time they tackled this old 2002 cult classic. It was originally released for the 20th anniversary of the 1982 movie. It is a direct sequel to said movie, and it features the likeness of John Carpenter and his real voice in a cameo appearance.
The game is by no means flawless, even after Nightdive added a myriad of quality of life improvements, but it's endearing I'd say, especially if you're a fan of the movie.
Resident evil this is not, but it is definitely worth a look.

As for performance, It looks way better than the original: very close to a ps3 era game. It is also advertised as "up to 144 fps" but in reality settings can be set to 500 or unlimited even. Not sure why they sold themselves short here...
Runs great, and sadly that is not to be expected these days, even for a remaster.
