Alright. Here's my honest opinion of Paladins. I think it's a great game with a good hook who's problem lies in devs that don't want to listen. Pick a champion, choose your legendary card, choose your card loadout, nab an item, and get ready to fight for the control of the powerful crystals that have the realm seized in civil war.

Frankly, the card and item system are the most unique and entrancing things about this game. Two Yings, one ally one enemy. Both are a mid tier support but your teammate specializes in shattering illusions for extra damage whereas the other Ying forsakes the ability to shatter in order to hand out more healing. Or try two Khan's. One has a shield that constantly regenerates at 112% efficiency even while raised and taking damage, takes higher healing with it up, and heals with it up. THe other Khan specializes in taking risky dives into the fray and tearing up the enemy formation and recieves big bonuses for successfully grabbing an enemy. Keeps combat fresh when each enemy could come at you in a different way. It keeps you constantly checking enemies loadouts and items to see if you can outplay them with a smart buy or a paradigm shift that they aren't expecting.

Now, there's the good. There's a lot of bad though, and it all fits in one paragraph. Evil Mojo shows little sign that they actually care. They've been making some strides in the latest patch, taking a focus to fix a huge amount of bugs. But, EM and ultimately Hi-Rez still have consistently failed to deliver acceptable changes to the community for a very long time. They've let bugs run rampant, made horrible balance shifts, and have made their intentions clear about money through their actions. Terminus sometimes can't come out of his ult or is forced to ult, Khan will play a glitched animation when trying to grab an enemy that leaves him helpless, Pip healing potions are still glitched, don't let them lie to you, maps still have invisible walls and such. Moji is still ultimately a fairly useless flank, Lian and Lex are still just aimbots with ego issues, Koga is an instant win, Dredge is a lesson in holding M2... It's crazy.

BUT THERE IS HOPE. The most recent patch shows a lot of promise, fixing alot of the issues or at least addressing many of them. It's encouraging. But it's stil a gamble whether or not they will keep this up. A gamble a lot of us keep taking for some reason. THe game is still playable. Easily but quality of life isn't the best. Ultimately though it's still a geat game. give it a try, keep it if you like it and will hold out hope, toss it otherwise.
