Overall this game is in a weird state, it borrows some ideas from other 4x games and is overall a big change for the civ franchise, putting it in a weird spot as its identity isn't yet clear, I would still recommend the game, as I've been having fun playing especially if you're a civ fan, but maybe wait for a sale

The Pros:
I find the mixing and matching of civs and leaders to be pretty interesting, combat has seen a huge improvement and I enjoy the new flow of towns and cities, I like the narrative events although i wish they had more effect on the state of the game (for example the approach crusader kings took but I can see why they didn't want to full commit)

The Cons:
I think one of the reasons this game is getting so much hate is that its lacking a lot of the polish and juice that made civ 6 so fun to play, the UI has taken a huge step back, a lot of the feedback(especial with sound effects) isn't really there, the tutorials are really aggressive,wonder animations are subpar(its a step to call them animations) and overall it doesn't feel as much as a finished product as we would like.

Developers if u see this please fix these

- Quick combat/movement
- Hot Seat
- Auto explore
- Yields feel unclear
- Cities become towns after age transition
- More options in game create screen

quick note: I haven't had any bugs as of yet but I do see a lot of people complaining about that

An already very fun and beautiful roguelike experience turned into a great one by the addition of well put together and thought out 4 player co-op, I can't even begin to explain how long I've waited for another great co-op roguelike

A worthwhile purchase even in early access, even tho there is not a ton of content, It is all very fun and cohesive, and I'm sure it'll only be getting better with more content
