Early Access Review
I like this game i just have a few problems with it. one i wish there was a setting for me to lower how precise i need to be. a few tutorial bots to practice against at various difficulties. And an offline method of learning new moves. it seems like either the net code needs work or im not playing against the same person i rematched.

This in a very short time became my favorite game. normally i hate turn based games, this game i made an exception for because of the uhh bear rumor. its like playing a new game every time i start a run, make different decisions and see new twist. now for anyone looking to play, PLAY HOW YOU WANT even though there are min maxed builds nothing will be more fun than something you created yourself.

Positives:

~Comprehensive history of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise
~Large catalog of over 10,000 cards
~Nostalgic value for long-time fans of the series
Negatives:

~Outdated Card Roster: The game suffers from a lack of updates, with many new archetypes and strategies missing.

~Grinding Gameplay: While the game can be played as intended, surrendering matches ironically is the most efficient method for gathering points for card packs, compromising the essence of strategic gameplay.

~Unskippable Animations: The presence of numerous lengthy animations, which cannot be skipped, slows the pace and adds to the grind.

Lackluster AI: The AI becomes increasingly generic and uninteresting the further you go back into the game's history, particularly from the 5Ds era backwards. This results in dull and predictable duels.

Conclusion: Despite its nostalgic value and extensive card catalog, the game is hindered by a lack of updates, grind heavy gameplay, time-consuming animations, and lackluster AI. At the time of its release, the game was moderately up to date. However, as time has passed, it has failed to stay current with the ever-evolving world of Yu-Gi-Oh! If you are seeking a more modern/recent and updated gameplay experience, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel appears to be one of the few viable options. The overall experience of Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, while very nostalgic, may prove less satisfying for those seeking dynamic and current Yu-Gi-Oh! gameplay.

overall its just a less limited duel links. but if you want a specific deck you either need to constantly play in order to maintain gems and URs. constantly deciding to play new decks is just unsustainable and the pricing for the gems is very skewed price wise apple store being the cheapest option

I just started this game cause (pun intended) i was board and it was on sale. Even though i like jc3(just cause 3) better i love this game. At the very beginning i can tell it will take me more than a couple hours to complete.
