After Sony backed down, I have changed my review. Game is good, has it's bugs(ha), but a great community and devs.

Review at 10.8 hours:

A fun game, reminds me of Raft/Worlds Adrift kinda. If you like those games it's a lot of fun, so far I've been solo and it's felt slow but with a friend or two it would be a lot of fun!

I read some other review before and one of the statements they said really hit home, "My mother would say this game has good bones." All of the foundation and combat feels great and the game looks BEAUTIFUL. The lore is surprisingly deep, you just have to collect the journal entries really to find out about it. It doesn't force cutscenes down your throat and it lets you learn the lore if you are interested. The crafting is fun and interesting, you can just accidentally create a named object sometimes. The weapon skills and trees are detailed for the most part and fun to find new and cool combos. The game does lack in several areas though, namely server size and not letting people join a server with a friend. There's no swimming yet and I don't know if they said something about never having it, but it is kind of annoying to just walk on the bottom of the sea floor or something and mobs can just sprint at you and aren't slowed like you are. Faction balance on most servers is pretty much non-existent with one or two of the factions completely stomping out the third and then warring between each other. Kinda sucks to join a faction as a bright, energetic new player and find out that your faction isn't even on the map and now you have to wait 120 days to change factions or just move servers. Overally, as someone with 140ish hours in the closed and open beta and about 120ish hours in the full release, I'd give it an 7.5/10. The foundation is amazing and groundbreaking in a lot of ways, and if they improve on the servers and faction balancing, then I think it could easily become a 9 or 10/10.

Beautifully done, this simplistic and yet super creative game has already surpassed my expectations for it! I can't wait to see what the future has in store for it. Also, the Plains can go ahead and ♥♥♥♥ off.

Kinda fun while it lasted. Only one map, not much in the way of weapon mods(even though it had a bunch of tabs for them), but worst of all it crashed after every game when I hit "Exit to Main Menu".

Great fun with friends, and if you don't have the money for expansions, still a fun time!

So far, it's pretty fun. Basic build'em and shoot'em game. I will say it needs more of a balance. As long as you use the low tier hulls you can put slightly higher tier guns on them and have an advantage.

Ignore the negative reviews. Most of the people who are throwing negative reviews at it are under the impression that it was going to be a 100% finished game. Early Access means just that: it's not done. But within hours of launch, the devs have pushed out several updates and are working furiously to help get the game where it needs to be.

Moral of the story: Don't buy an EA game if you can't understand that there will be bugs, even HUGE ones.

EDIT #1: I have a "low-end" system currently, only 4GB of RAM and an AMD RADEON HD 6670, so the game weighs heavy on me right now. BUT I will say, the little time I spent in the game I LOVED it. So much to do! I want more! Can't wait for the updates to keep rolling! The devs constantly update us on what they are doing, and have pushed out at least 7 updates since launch.
