It had its moments, but all in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. Very happy they finally translated it to English so I could enjoy this wonderful game. Thank you Shiying, it was a lovely game.

I have never been so happy being so depressed

I have never been more happy to lose my sanity in the hardest difficulty before. Plus that final soundtrack is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. This game is worth every penny.

I’ll start off by saying this, this game did not live up to the hype, and that’s not a bad thing. I don’t think any game could’ve lived up to the hype Cyberpunk got. And I was definitely apart of that hype train. Like many others who got the game Day one, I’ve waited years for this to come out. Delay after delay, it left almost hopeless. The constant pandering that it’ll never get finished, especially hearing CDProjekt Red had to clock in six day work weeks.

But alas, it finally arrived. Me and my friend both preloaded it, getting excited for the next big thing in gaming. I had recently just purchased a new desktop that perfectly meets the Ray-Tracing recommendations. Everything, was perfect. Then we actually got to play. Oh the bugs, some were funny, a lot were frustrating. While I personally only encountered one truly terrible one, my friend encountered several game crashing ones. This was when it began to set in that even those delays weren’t enough.

Hearing the woes of PS4 and Xbox One, I feel very privileged to have such a nice PC where the only frame drops I experienced were from 75 to 55, and this being on Ultra. While optimization does seem to be an issue even on PC, my experience has been good.

But getting technical stuff out of the picture, the gameplay is nothing too new. The difficulty seems to be how many bullets enemies can take, and a lot of enemies are very bullet spongy. Which can be really annoying. The storyline is interesting and is unique, some execution feels a little off. But where the game truly comes alive is the side content. There is just so much life to the city and fells fantastic to accompany the visuals. There’s just so much happening all the time and there’s cop missions, gigs, and fights everywhere. There was not been a dull moment so far.

When I get down to it, in my opinion, the game is fantastic. Buggy? Yes, but how many open world games don’t launch with glitches. As I’m still neck deep in playing, I can’t give a definitive score, but from what I’ve seen it’s a 8/10 in my book.
