This is a great CRPG. The story actually flows around you even as you make decisions that you will genuinely never know are key to the story. Also, you can tell the developers like the game and like gaming so they won't punish you for PLAYING a game (unlike some developers....)

This game is beautiful in literally every aspect of its design. But the visuals and the soundtrack take the cake! UNFORGETTABLE!

This game has changed gaming forever and revived CRPGs as thing. Larian really ate with this. As you play the game, I urge you to take it really slow and observe everything. This is a game that is filled with so much passion and love and you can feel it in every dialogue, every locations, every cave, every choice. I have never felt so happy playing an RPG like this. This also takes the cake for representation. Fully everyone is here: accents, sexualities, references (MY CABBAGES!!!!). Words cannot express how happy I was when I encountered Lucretious the FABULOUS DRAG QUEEN.

This is one of those games where something happens and you are sure it is a feature but it may possibly be a bug. For example, I encountered this blacksmith shop and I could not for the life of me find the vendor anywhere inside until I found them outside hiding in the back. I thought that was strange but I talked to the actual blacksmith who complained that his shopkeeper is lazy and always slacking off. I was SHOOK.

This game will make you happy. Play it. You deserve it!

EDIT: I cried. I cried relentlessly at the ending. Not because it was bad, but because of how powerful it was. I felt so connected to every character so much so seeing their chapters close had me sobbing. DEFINITELY going to replay.

This story is simply incredible. I cannot decide if the best part is the perfectly balanced and reasonable game mechanics, the lovable and very real characters or the sheer expansiveness of choice variety and outcome in the game. This is definitely a MUST HAVE.

Truly a masterpiece of writing and execution. I don't often write reviews (almost never) but I felt it would be a grave injustice of I finished this game without doing my part to ensure that many more people enjoy this incredible creation.

With a story that covers so many subjects and themes and the best companions you will ever meet in gaming (Arueshalae and Daeran took my heart), this game will be an unforgettable experience every time you play it. This is a massive improvement from Kingmaker story-wise (and in every other way TBH) and deserves the hype. I especially loved how the writers were able to effectively communicate the logic reason for everything that happens.
