I rejoiced when I found this on Steam, Imperivm was my go to strategy game during my early childhood, played all of the 3 initial instalments, "Great Battles of Rome" being the last one of them.
I'll be honest and say I give it a thumbs up mainly for the level of nostalgia for this game, I would not have bought this if the original disc copy I owned had not been lost.

Thus said, can't say there is anything that the HD Edition makes any better besides a larger screen size.
The English translation appears to be often a hit and miss for the menu and settings, and most of the in-game ability descriptions, though I admire whoever did the voice acting getting most lines with the most accurate tonality to the original language (which was Italian for me), you're an absolute unit mate.

Imperivm is quite simple, your sole role is to build an army, no literal building necessary, you conquer villages that produce food and civilians to turn into soldiers, you conquer forts that have their own mechanic of producing a bonus, and finally you conquer towns/cities which have diverse possibilities and features depending on the civilisation that you choose.
Most often than not you must play by your civ's play style until you are able to conquer another civ's town and become able to mix max abilities and troop variety.
Many have stated and yes some civilisations are simply not good, I have not tested with the HD edition, but even back in the old version the Germanic was the least powerful with little to no effective bonuses or abilities, Egypt and Iberia were the most powerful but seems to have undergone a slight nerf, still they own the best archer units with the ability to drain enemy stamina and preventing them to use any other similarly op abilities.
There's some fun mechanics to keep in mind that are available and that is the use of priests and their magic, they're not there just to heal, they can do some pretty sick stuff, take it as a very reduced to bare minimum Age of Mythology stuff.
Combat remains simple, and it's more of either have a lot of fodder or have really good troops.

Unfortunately there are some bugs, which I had never seen before on the original version, the most often occurring is ships getting stuck inland and navigating within the land as if that was water.
Not so often troops, not sure if it depends on what formation they have, do not attack an enemy upon ordered to except a minority of the troops breaking up from the formation and noticeably forfeiting their formation bonus.
It appears there is some path finding difficulty in general for all units, player's and AI's.

Regardless of the above it's still playable and enjoyable, and now I won't have to suffer loss any longer and have this game with me until the day I die.

Owned and played Bannerlord since it's days of early release, the progress to now has been extremely questionable until the release of update 1.7.0.

Bannerlord is now officially out of early access, although it barely seems to, it shouldn't be maintained alive by mods, and updates from TW should enhance the game, not cripple it.

The major flaw which I regard as catastrophic and game breaking is the removal of the ability to assign troops/companions to specific formations, now it is meant to be done via sliders which are highly inaccurate and do not allow you to have or create a division of specific troops, this problem is even more serious due to infantry troops getting sorted by the AI into different classes such as with cavalry or archers and vice versa.
For a game that relies on strategy this is a game-breaking flaw, and has me question the seriousness and competence of the developers further since it has been almost a year without a fix or an update regarding this issue.

The game continues to be alive mainly thanks to modders, which deserve a huge praise for their work at fixing similar bugs and putting more enjoyable content than i have seen TW do.
Unfortunately updates that are released, having been consistent almost monthly, make almost all mods incompatible and understandably it is hard for the modders to keep up.

It's hard to recommend the game in it's current state, besides the aforementioned issue, the game still lacks a proper diplomacy system, dialogue options/rp elements with npcs, it remains bare and repetitive..

I hope this changes in a near future.

I decided to buy Just Cause 3 in a moment of immense boredom crossed with the nostalgic remembrance of an old PS2 game called "Mercenaries 2: Inferno", knowing that I'll never be able to play that game again, I looked to see if Just Cause 3 would fill the void.

So based on that I needed a game where:
- Satisfies the thirst for destruction;
- Satisfies that need without being the badie;
- Travel a cool map (minus though for not being a tropical island, but boi here i get 4 islands);
- Playing as a rear busting smooth mercenary;
- Explosions;
- Guns;
- Explosions of Explosions;

Just Cause 3 ticks all the above adding along explosions of explosions of explosions and although unrealistic some cool guns, vehicles and acrobatics the defy every law of physics.

Have to be honest that I had wanted to give it a thumbs down due to the cringyest dialogue and plot, the characters are everything bad that could come out from a horrible and forgotten sitcom. The drama of a civil war torn country trying to free itself from a brutal dictatorship is just killed every time a character speaks, it could have been better if there was no dialogue at all.
There's only one bug that bothers (as always) but this is worse because it impacts certain missions and most of the normal game-play: some vehicles use guided missiles, a lock onto system, which if it works great you've successfully locked onto the target and it will be destroyed once the missile hits, when it doesn't work it renders the weapon useless as the missile doesn't even travel in a straight line unless locked onto a target, and now a main mission depends on your use of this feature and have fun loading and reloading until it works out alright.
Yeah I filled a 2L swear jar that day...

Besides that, Just Cause 3 satisfied the means, and gets a score of 6.5/10 sick bickies.

What can I say? This really is a special edition as in the old English term special which meant a lighter way of saying 'mentally challenged', I say this due to the exact same bugs that was in the old Skyrim game, in fact this is the very same game copy pasted and tagged with "Special Edition".
I know what you're thinking: "this ignorant fool went about testing all the bugs he knew just so he could speak ill of this gem", oh no to do such thing never crossed my mind, I simply assumed that there were no bugs at all and played as if i had never played Skyrim before, and slowly (imaginable and explainable) anomalies began to taking place, just like in 'ye days of ol'.
The bug-fest! I'll leave it to that regarding the bug-fest.

An issue which I was able to foresee was the forced mods from Bethesda's thing? they've implemented their own workshop for mods, now I didn't know until a few days ago some of that content has to be bought, and i didn't know until a few days before the writing of this review that the old nexus mods have a hard time working with all the computery things due to this new script (forgive me i'm old and too ignorant to learn what the issue really is, but you fellas will know), so to get to the point i decided to not use mods at all and play the game as it is, which is not so bad but along the way it makes you feel like you just got married and your shela ain't the panther she teased ya about, leaving your long repressed lusty desires mildly disappointed.

Time has come for me to explain why I thumb it up, well first off, all 3 of the dlcs don't require a separate download, which helps me sleep well at night knowing that certain old bugs that happened due to the dlcs not being part of the main package (items disappearing from storage and shelves from the built player homes, never to appear again except via console command) can't call this one a bug though, it was a technicality due to saved games and the dlcs or something, what's important is that it is no more!

I first played skyrim a few months after its initial release thanks to some buddy in a black trench coat that helped me acquire it in the most legal manner possible.
2012 was a good year, speaking from my gamer point of view, some of my best memories are with The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, and i rate high all the dlcs (maybe not Hearthstone cause it angered me for the item loss issue), and to be able to replay the exact same things that put a smile on my face (and made me curse in all the languages I know) , it's nostalgia, the good kind.

If I assume a first timer's point of view on the game, I say yes, dwell into it, you'll have fun, make sure to finish the game without mods first, then do as you please, it can be replayed, the story is very hero-esc as yes you can be bad (can't be evil because you can't kill children) worst consequence is a large bounty on your head, so it's not a grey, it's a light and dark theme prevalent on the light, there will be some moments maybe more with some side quests where some themes might make you shed a tear.
Combat system is simple, with time and dedication you can achieve to be a sword champion-necromancer-rogue.

As of now, price wise considering you're getting all 3 dlcs together, it's worth it, but as any other game, go for the sales, even better.

Stay hydrated, drink lots of mead!

Had bought the game back when it was in beta in mid 2014, had some issues due to bugs and for what I felt that the game "survived" mostly thanks to the modding community, which deserves an immense praise.
The developers have worked hard and I am seeing this now: weekly updates, patches, bug fixes and awesome content being added (referring to the planets release}.
Space Engineers has promised, has delivered what it promised, and continues to do so.

I recommend this game to those who want to experience survival, physics, explosions and exploration inside a sandbox game, along with occasional anger bursts cause the ships you design won't be physics-proof.
